PROPOSITION AND ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS OF THE NESS CITY TRIATHLON KOŠICE
Categories for the NESS City Triathlon Košice
(750 m swimming, 20 km cycling, 5 km running)
Triathlon Union and the regulations of this proposition.

own risk and is obligated to observe traffic regulations and follow the
instructions of the organizer, referees and the police.

City Triathlon reaches 40 years of age will be classified in the Master
categories (M40, W40).

In the Ness City Triathlon relay 3 competitors take part for each team;
they must fill in the necessary data in the registration form and the
discipline they will participate in. Each relay-team member must turn
15 years of age in the given year of the Ness City Triathlon.

he number of participants in the Ness City Triathlon is limited. The

organizer may decide on early closing of registration on the basis of
fulfilling the technological-safety limits.

registration for the Ness City Triathlon shall be considered as valid

only if it contains all of the required information, is submitted on time
and the registration fee is properly paid.

The organizer will announce winners in the following

MASTERS - WOMEN 40+
Registration fee and method of payment
Categories M, W, M40, W40 and each relay-team member over 17 years old
17 EUR to 31 May 2017 (online registration)
23 EUR to 28 June 2017 (online registration)
25 EUR after the closing of online registration (cash payment on the day
of the triathlon, July 1st 2017, if the limits for number of participants are
not filled)
Teens - boys and girls (starting independently or as members
of a relay team)
12 EUR (online registration or cash payment on the day of the Ness City
Triathlon, if the limits for number of participants are not filled)
Method of timing and results
The company Championchip CZ will provide timekeeping as well as setting
up the start and issuing the race results. The organizer will publish the
results immediately after completion of the event and subsequently on the
Web page: www.kosicetriathlon.sk

14:00 Start of all categories of the Children’s NESS City Triathlon,
City Swimming Pool in the park
14:20- 14:50 Swimming warm- up before the start of the NESS City
Triathlon

Start of the NESS City Triathlon Košice - swimming segment,
consecutive interval starts of competitors (Individuals, Relays).
After completing 15 lengths in the swimming pool, they will move to the cycling depot and continue to cycling segment. After the cycling they continue to running segment.
15:45- 16:00 Swimming warmp-up for an Elite category
16:00 Start of the NESS City Triathlon Košice- Elite category swimming segment, massed start of 16 Elite Competitors.
17:00 Anticipated finishing time of the Elite´s absolute winner
18:00 Anticipated start of announcing the winners of the Ness
City Triathlon Košice

Other award-winning competitors will receive material prizes.

The Ness City Triathlon is held according to the valid rules of the Slovak

competitor must be equipped with a cycling helmet which must be
worn and properly buckled during the cycling part of the competition as
well as in the marked space in the depot.
11. It is forbidden to throw away rubbish on the running or cycling path
outside the area of refreshment stations. Violation of this rule may lead
to disqualification of the competitor.
12. P
articipants and competitors must behave considerately and sportingly
and allow faster competitors to pass them by.
13. Drafting during the cycling segment of the competition is permitted.
14. In the event of withdrawing from the races, a competitor is obligated to
notify the organizer of such withdrawal.
15. O
nly those competitors who complete the entire course, including all
time checkpoints, will be classified.
16. P
aid registration fees are non-refundable. A competitor may request in
writing (by e-mail) a shift of the registration fee to the following year of
the Ness City Triathlon.
17. T
he start numbers are the property of the organizer until the end of the
races and cannot be damaged or altered in any way; they are linked to
the registration and cannot be transferred to a different person.
18. T
he competitor agrees with the processing of personal data in line with
valid legislation as well as with possible use of photographs and video
recordings for the purpose of promoting the NESS City Triathlon in the
future.
19. The organizer of the Ness City Triathlon will evaluate and award
competitors in the categories Men, Women, Teens, M40 and W40. The
winning overall relay team and the winning relay team made up solely
of women will also be evaluated and awarded.
20. T
he competitor agrees with the time schedule of the races as presented
in the propositions. If a competitor places among the winners and does
not take part in the awards ceremony for the races, he or she loses the
claim to any financial or material prize.
