Nickelodeon Studios closed in Orlando on April 30,
2005.
The slime geyser
was located in
front of
Nickelodeon
studios. Visitors
could watch this
geyser overflow
with slime.
In 1991, Nickelodeon revolutionized kids' cartoons
with the production of their signature animated
series: “Ren and Stimpy,” “Doug,” and “Rugrats.”
Nickelodeon Magazine came out in 1993. The magazine
included sports, music, movies, puzzles, comics and
more!

A time capsule was buried at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando in 1992. It
contained items that were important to the children of 1992 as voted
on by the viewers. Some items contained a Nintendo Game Boy, an issue
of Nickelodeon Magazine, a Home Alone VHS tape, clips of Nickelodeon
station IDs and various other toys. The time capsule was scheduled to
be opened 50 years later. (April 30, 2042) The capsule has been
reburied at the Nickelodeon Suite Resort, also located in Orlando.

Nickelodeon Studios had a GAK kitchen where all the slime, gak, and
other gooey stuff was made!

In 1996, Nick hit the big screen! The first Nickelodeon movie to be
shown in the theatres was “Harriet The Spy.”
