Castle Ball
Objective: Be the first team to knock down all 4 hula hoop castles and the 3 balls on the cones. This is accomplished by throwing gym balls at the
other team’s hula hoop castles and balls on cones.
How many team members can be on the court at a time? Twelve team members on the court for each team at once.
What happens if I hit a member of the opposing team with a ball when throwing at their castles and balls? Nothing happens if you hit a player on
the opposite team with the ball. This is not the object of the game and players should not be aiming to hit opposing team members.
How can a team permanently knock down the opposing team’s castle? A castle can be permanently knocked down by making a ½ court basket in
the basketball hoop. With each ½ court shot your team makes another castle or ball is permanently knocked down on the opposing team. If your
team makes seven ½ court baskets your team can win the game.
What happens if a hula hoop castle is knocked down and there are no ½ court baskets made? Team can rebuild the castle. Teams can rebuild
knocked down castles until a ½ court shot is made or all of the balls on the cones are knocked off.
What happens if a ball is knocked off one of the cones? Once a ball is knocked off a cone, it cannot be put back on the cone.
How is the game won?
1. Knock all three balls off the cones and knock down all 4 hula hoop castles.
2. Make seven ½ court baskets.
