2003 Adult Spring League

The very best competition in Adult Recreational Hockey –
Without the travel!
Format:
The Spring Adult League is designed for “B”/”C” level team entrants looking to play in a friendly, yet
challenging and competitive, non-checking, adult hockey division.




The season will consist of 10 games from Monday April 14 to Sun. June 15.
Games will be played on various nights (see Registration Form on reverse).
Playoffs will run from Thursday, June 19 through Sunday, June 22.
Playoff format will be determined based upon the number of teams registering.
Please Note:
 All applications must be submitted by March 24, 2003.
 No games will be played 4/20 (Easter Sunday) and 5/24 - 5/26 (Memorial Day Weekend).
 Helmets are required for all Union Sports Arena Hockey programs.
 All players must be 18 years old by April 14, 2003 to be eligible.
 All players must be registered with USA Hockey (Managers: provide copies of USA Hockey cards or
$30 registration fee per non-registered player).
Individuals: Cost $245 each
 Individual entrants will be organized into one or more teams and will receive a team jersey.
 Individual applicants must pay in full upon registration.
 Goalies pay $150.00 as Individual Entrants.
 Car Pool applicants must be submitted together.
Teams: Cost $3200
 Maximum of 20 players (including goalies) on roster.
 Team application accepted with a $1600.00 deposit, due March 24. Balance due by April 14, 2003.
 Teams paid in full by March 24 will receive a free 1 hour practice.
 Teams must provide rosters and matching jerseys with numbers.
 Teams must provide blackout dates with the team application.
League Rules:
 USA Hockey rules apply, except where superseded by house rules.
 Fighting penalties, or any other gross misconduct penalty, will result in expulsion from the league for
any remaining games in the season.
 For players to participate in playoffs, they must have played in at least 5 of the initial 10 games.
 All games have 15 minute periods.
 Running time for a 6 goal (or greater) differential in the third period.

Ice skating involves certain inherent risks, dangers and hazards that can result in serious personal injury. Use of rental skating equipment also involves
certain inherent risks, dangers and hazards that can result in serious personal injury. The skater and the skater’s parent or legal guardian assume and
accept all risk of injury while in Union Sports Arena. All skaters agree to abide by the posted Skaters Responsibility Code and acknowledge that all
skaters skate at their own risk.
At all times, the skater and the skater’s parent or legal guardian shall be fully liable for personal injury and property damage incurred while in the Facility
and the skater and the skater’s legal guardian agree to defend and hold the Facility, its members, officers, agents and employees harmless against any
and all liability for claims, demands and causes of action asserted against the facility arising from skater’s use of the Facility or otherwise upon the
premises.
