Volleyball season is in Full Swing. We have 4 teams playing. Thanks to the
coaches who donate their time and expertise to make these team experiences
possible. We couldn’t do it without you! Good luck to all our teams and keep
working hard and representing Harwood well!
Monday February 15th is our regular PAC meeting 6:30 p.m. at the school.
Child minding is provided. Please come out and help other parents support our
students.
Family Dance on Thursday Feb. 11th. The PAC is hosting a Valentines family
dance in our gym. The time is 5:30-7:00 and the cost is only $5 per family.
There will be a concession. A photographer will be donating her time to take
pictures. $2 for a 4x6 print and $5 for a 5x7. Pictures will be delivered to
classes the next day. Please RSVP to [email protected] by Wednesday
so the organizers have an idea how many people are coming. Check the
Harwood PAC Facebook page or posters in the school for more details.
This Monday, Feb.08 is Family Day in BC.
Friday Feb. 19th is a Professional Development Day.
Monday Feb. 22 is a Ministry Curriculum Implementation day.

If you, or a friend/neighbour have not registered your child for kindergarten
next year, please stop by the office as soon as possible. If you plan to change
schools for September, transfer requests need to be done before February 15th.
The Leadership students are putting on Carnival activities in the gym for
every class Feb. 22-26. Students can buy tickets to for a draw for the King
and Queen of Hearts. Also, Friday Feb. 26 will be Twin Day. Look for more
information on our grade 6/7 choir. They are busy preparing…
1. Harwood just ordered 74 books for each of our English Kindergarten classes
to help support our goal of reading improvement.
2. We just put a set of Taanishi books in our primary classroom library bags.
Now, students will learn about Metis culture when working on their reading
goal.
