New Customer Application Form
This form should be used by market licensees (“Applicant”) requesting provision of a settlement facilitation service from
ASX Settlement Pty Limited ABN 49 008 504 532 (“ASX Settlement”).
ASX Settlement provides settlement arrangements for approved listing venues other than ASX (Approved Listing Market
Operators or ALMOs) in respect of CHESS-eligible financial products listed on the markets of those ALMOs (ALMOlisted financial products).
The Applicant may act as a Settlement Agent for its participants who are not ASX Settlement Participants. In this
instance, the Applicant will also need to apply to become an ASX Settlement Participant. More information on how to

Part 2 – Service Required
In this application, the Applicant will be applying to ASX Settlement for provision of a Settlement Facilitation Service.

The service arrangements consist of two options:
1.
A Transfer Facilitation Service where CHESS-eligible ALMO listed financial products can be transferred in real
time by ASX Settlement Participants through CHESS. Payment is handled bi-laterally by participants outside of
CHESS; or
2.
A DvP Facilitation Service where CHESS-eligible ALMO listed financial products can be settled on a delivery
versus payment (DvP) basis by ASX Settlement Participants through the CHESS settlement batch.
In addition to the above settlement solutions for their markets, ASX Settlement has put in place arrangements for:
 A Corporate Actions Service where ASX Settlement may process a corporate action, through the settlement
facility, for CHESS-eligible ALMO listed financial products.
 ALMO-listed Issuers to use the ASX Primary Market Facility (PMF). The PMF enables ALMO-listed Issuers to
use DvP settlement for certain capital raisings.
The Applicant may also apply to become an ASX Settlement Participant to act as a Settlement Agent on behalf of its
own participants who are not ASX Settlement Participants. Please tick the box to indicate interest or intention to become
an ASX Settlement Participant.

If the Applicant seeks to be an ASX General Settlement Participant ASX will provide details of relevant application

Part 3 – Settlement Facilitation Service Agreement
The Settlement Facilitation Service Agreement (attached copy and also available here) should be executed and returned
to ASX Settlement with this Application Form.
Any variation to the standard agreement will be considered a Change Request.
