BY-LAWS
ARTICLE I - The name of this organization shall be the Wildflower Ladies Golf Association and
for designated purposes throughout the by-laws, this Association shall be referred to as the
LGA.
ARTICLE II – The objectives of the LGA shall be:
1. To promote and maintain interest in the game of golf among the ladies of
Wildflower Country Club.
2. To promote good fellowship and sportsmanship among its members.
3. To encourage active participation in all tournaments, activities and monthly
meetings.
ARTICLE III – Membership shall be limited to ladies who are members of Wildflower Country
Club.
ARTICLE IV – Officers of the LGA shall be the President, President Elect, Secretary and
Treasurer.
1. The Officers shall be elected at the November meeting and decided by a majority of
those present.
2. The Officers shall assume office for one year upon installation in December.
3. The outgoing President Elect shall automatically become President for the next
year.
4. The Executive Board shall consist of the incoming officers, the immediate Past
President and Chairs of the Tournament, Playday, Ringer and Publicity Committees.
ARTICLE V – The duties of Officers shall be implied by their respective titles and as such as are
specified in these by-laws.
1. The President shall:
A. President at all LGA and Executive Board meetings.
B. Appoint all committee chairs
C. Be ex-officio member of all committees.
2. The President Elect shall:
A. In the absence of the President perform the duties of the President as outlined
above.
B. If a vacancy should occur in the office of the President, the President Elect shall
become President.
3. The Secretary shall:
A. Keep minutes of all LGA and Executive Board meetings.
B. Carry on any correspondence.
C. Collect news articles and other appropriate memorabilia for the scrapbook.
4. The Treasurer shall:
A. Receive all monies for the LGA and keep an itemized account of receipts and
expenditures.
ARTICLE VI – The standing Committees in the LGA are Tournament, Weekly Playday, Ringer,
Publicity and Yearbook. Duties are as follows:
1. Tournament Chair shall plan and conduct all LGA sponsored tournaments,
appointing co-chairs as needed.
2. Weekly Playday Chair shall be responsible for and conduct of weekly play and
pairings, and maintain records in order to award annual prizes.
3. Ringer Chair shall keep the 9-hole and 18-hole Ringer Score Board up-to-date and
award annual prizes.
4. Publicity Chair shall publicize activities of the LGA via the media and provide
photographs and newspaper clippings to the Secretary for inclusion in the LGA
Scrapbook.
5. Yearbook Chair shall compile and publish the annual LGA yearbook.
ARTICLE VII – Dues
1. Dues shall be collected annually. A player whose dues have not been paid is
ineligible for an award.
2. New members joining after the July meeting shall pay half-year dues.
ARTICLE VIII – Awards and Trophies
1. An award shall be made to the winner or winners in each flight.
2. The Ringer Tournament prizes shall be awarded to the players in each flight.
ARTICLE IX – Amendments
These by-laws may be amended at any business meeting by a two-third majority of
those present, said amendments having been presented in writing at the previous meeting.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Annual Christmas Party in December shall begin the LGA year.

The LGA shall play according to the rules of the USGA; local rules are printed on the back
of the scorecard. Controversies arising shall be explained by the Club Professional.

The 9-hole and 18-hole playdays shall be Thursday and Saturday. The Weekly Playday
Chairman must be informed when a member wishes to exchange her regular play day
and she must play with a member of the association.

Weekly scorecards shall be checked, dated and signed by a second member of the
playing group before it is turned in. From these cards all play day and ringer scores will
be recorded.

On all paydays and in specially scheduled tournaments, all putts must be holed out.

No player shall be eligible for weekly awards until she has posted five scores.

Members are asked to play according to pairings, if possible.
