Logic menu Sheet #1 • • Sheet #2 To keep the logic easy to read it is recommended to learn how create and use input and output signals in the logic editor to transfer signals from one sheet to another In this example are going to create DIF87_Trip signal in sheet#1 which can be used for further handling in sheet#2 (for example activation of disturbance recorder). Logic menu • • • If the needed function blocks are not in the logic click on FB button and then somewhere in the sheet. Now you can choose the needed function block. The list shows all the function blocks that are not yet in use. Now that all the function blocks are in the sheet, click on the ConnOut button and then again somewhere in the sheet. Now you can give the output connection a name like DIF87_Trip and optionally a description like “Differential Trip”. Because DIF87_2w has two trips, we are going to need an OR block … and make the connections by clicking on the connectors. Logic menu Bout_E02 & Bout_E04 Bout_E02 & Bout_E04 - It is possible to create junctions to share outputs with multiple inputs (e.g. function blocks) Junctions placed on vertical lines will point to the right and junctions placed on horizontal lines will point down. In this example we are going to assign DIF87, REF and TOC51N to give trip command to trip contact E02 and E04 and TOC51, BRF50 and TTRL49 trip only the E04 trip contact. Logic menu – – – First put the previously made signals into the sheet by clicking on the ConnIn button and then somewhere in the sheet and find the needed signal from the list. Then put two OR gates with three connectors. OR and AND gates with additional connectors can be found from the Mac menu. Add the disturbance recorder and the tripping output contacts (in this case it’s E02 and E04). Now to share the signals coming out of the OR gates we have to add junctions to the lines … and then make the connections Events -Software configuration Events Events channels –menu contains all the events which can be sent to the bus. Name of the event can be modified by pressing “Modify” on top of the event. Maximum amount of active simultaneous events is limited to 256. -Disabled functions won’t send events. Disabled functions are marked with red X. As default none of the functions/events are disabled. User has to disable events by unchecking them. User created events (GGIO16 –logic) -Software configuration Events Events channels –menu also contains possibility to 16 self created events. As a default a GGIO16_I module can be used in logic and self generated events can be renamed by pressing “Modify” on top of them. -Multiple GGIO16 –modules can be added as far as the maximum event limit is fulfilled. Maximum amount of events is 256 as mentioned earlier. Need of extra GGIO16 –modules has to be mentioned when ordering device so those can be added at the factory. It is also possible to order them later without extra cost. Adding GGIO16 –modules requires updating of epc –file. -GGIO is also used for 61850 datasets. Different type of IEDs have different amount of events as default. Disturbance recorder -Software configuration Disturbance recorder is used for analyzing faults. DR has analogue channels, binary inputs and outputs always on. -Modify disturbance recorder channel by pressing “Modify” while staying on top of it. Nominal value 100% stands for 1.0 x nominal value. Change the 100 % to lower or higher according the CT/VT ratio to have primary or secondary values as amps or volts. -DR start signal is assigned in logic only. Maximum amount of recordings is 64. Recordings with 32+64 values and length of 1 second can be stored up to 800 files. With 10 second recording time (maximum) the stored amount of files would be 80. Cycle time of DR is 1000 Hz. Trip assignment -In software configuration Trip signals Trip assignment –menu you can assign logical nodes directly to actual output contacts. -Press “Add” and assign trip logic directly to Trip contact. Trip assignment -In software configuration Trip signals Trip assignment –menu you can assign logical nodes directly to actual output contacts. -Press “Add” and assign trip logic directly to Trip contact. In this example Trip Logic 1 has been chosen to trip G02 trip contact. -This means that in the example images case TOC51_2 trip would command Trip Logic 1 (TRC94_1) to control trip contact G02. -For more in depth description please refer to IED manuals. Time synchronization -In software configuration System TimeSync source –menu you can create external contact or link to perform synchronization for time. -External contact for time synchronization is connected to any DI12 option cards last input.
