PROVISIONAL PLANNING & COSTS
We hope that this information sheet contains the information you need to decide whether you
are able to provide the commitment that is required of a Team Scotland squad member. We
wish you luck as you strive for selection to your national cheer leading squad .

2015 ICU Worlds are being held at venue tbc, DisneyWorld, Orlando, Florida on Thursday
23rd and Friday 24th April 2015. ICU Worlds is open to National Teams only. Team Scotland
will be competing in the Elite (Level 5) Cheer Division.

Be fully available from Saturday 18th April 2015 to Sunday 26th April 2015.
Travel to Orlando Tuesday 21st April 2015.
Reside with the team in Orlando between Tuesday 21st April and Friday 24th April
2015.
Family and friends of athletes must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
Athletes will not be available for non-Team Scotland activities until after the competition.
Parents cannot attend practice sessions in Florida regardless of status (national coaches
only). So please do not ask.
Anticipated Travel Plans
We intend to have a 3 day training camp in Scotland immediately before the trip to Orlando
– Saturday 18th April to Monday 20th April. The team will then fly to Orlando on Tuesday
21st April and return on Saturday 25th April (landing on Sunday 26th April). Athletes wishing to
stay on beyond this date may do so but must arrange their own flights, (both ways) and extra
accommodation.
It may be necessary for over-18s to share rooms with members who are under-18 and who
they are not related to. You must be mature and set an impeccable standard of behaviour and
attitude that will show respect to all involved.
We intend to stay at Disney Resort, as this ICU package includes all accommodation and
transport to the Competition. The 4-day Worlds Disney package includes hotel room and a 4day Disney pass which gives full access to ICU Worlds and all Disney parks.
The team stays together. No parks before competition! There is a 10pm curfew prior to
competing. We train full out during the day.
Scotcheer does not take responsibility for parent’s flights to or from Orlando or transfer to
and from events or competition.
Please note:
From departure to return, the team is under the supervision of Scotcheer.
Parents cannot override decisions made by Scotcheer during this time.
Athlete responsibilities
As a team member, other athletes will look to you to be, courteous and respectful at all times
and represent Scotland in a respectful manner. Always be friendly, helpful and well behaved.
Anticipated costs for the trip
These are estimated costs per person, based on previous year’s experiences. We will try to
keep the costs as low as we can. Athletes are encouraged to work together to obtain Team

* Standard holiday insurance is strongly recommended to cover all activities and cancellations costs etc. (eg in case the volcano
erupts again!). The cost of this is highly variable, but a single person US policy is unlikely to be less than £80. Team Scotland will
cover the squad while training and competing.
