CROWBOROUGH & DISTRICT JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE SEASON 2016-17 JAMBOREE NOTES: I am delighted that once again the Crowborough League will be staging the Mini-Soccer Jamboree and this note will provide you with some important early information. Please ensure that you take the time to read this through. The Jamboree is scheduled to take place at The Racecourse Sportsground, New Wharf Road (accessed from the High Street via Bradford Street), Tonbridge, TN9 1DS on the following dates; Saturday 22nd April 2017 Saturday 29th April 2017 - Under-8’s and Under-10’s Under-7’s and Under-9’s On site parking for 200 cars is available. A charge of £3 per car will apply, which is less than parking at nearby Council Car Parks. Please have small change available, as this will avoid delays on entry. Please observe the on-site speed restriction – 5 mph. Team managers should not register until they have sufficient players to start their first match. Saturday 22nd April 2017 Under-10’s - register by 09.15 at the latest Under-8’s - register by 10.15 at the latest Saturday 29th April 2017 Under-9’s - register by 09.15 at the latest Under-7’s - register by 10.15 at the latest Once you have registered, we will let you know which pitch you will be playing on so you can find a space to gather your players and supporters, and ask you to return to the Pavilion about 15 minutes prior to kick off to collect your fixtures. This allows us to amend fixtures for any no-shows, which we can only do last minute. In case of late arrival, please text Reg Spicer on 07973 834464, advising when you expect to arrive. Teams which have not registered by the times shown above, and have not advised an expected arrival time, will be treated as “no-shows”. As such, your team could be withdrawn from the Jamboree without further notice, and your Club fined – so please make the call as we will only allow 15 minutes grace. Most teams will play on 1 pitch. Fixtures should be played in chronological order, but can start as soon as the previous game has finished. Some teams however, will play on 2 adjacent pitches, and game leaders should avoid starting each game before the scheduled kick-off time as this will lead to disruption later on. We will put up one goal, so you can see how they fit together, and will ask each team playing the first fixture to set up one of the goals on their pitch. At the end of each session, we will also ask the last teams to dismantle one goal, return it to the pavilion, and stack neatly on the shelves in the main corridor. Instructions are shown on the inside cover of each goal bag, so please return as described. All teams will play 4 games The “Home” team should provide a game leader, a match ball, a whistle and a First Aid kit. No scores are being recorded. Format of play Team size Match ball Match duration, with no half-time – (minutes) Under-7 5-a-side Size 3 10 Under-8 5-a-side Size 3 10 Under-9 7-a-side Size 3 15 Under-10 7-a-side Size 4 15 The League Committee have agreed to provide medals for participants in both Under-7 and Under-8 teams this year, as the Jamboree for last season’s Under-7’s was cancelled. Medals will be presented as soon as you have completed your fixtures and (where applicable) returned the goals to the Pavilion. PLEASE NOTE THAT A MAXIMUM OF 8 MEDALS WILL BE ISSUED TO EACH TEAM IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER YOU EXCEED THIS NUMBER IN A SQUAD.
