Licensing Examination of Bulk Milk Weigher and Samplers

* Applicants take written exam at one of six
designated locations
* Applicants are not required to pre-register
* If applicants pass exam, they contact the
sanitarian in their area to schedule a field exam.
* The field exam must occur within 90 days of written
exam
* 20% of applicants do not complete process within 90
days
* Scheduling issues with sanitarians – short notice
*
* Written and field exams will take place on the same
day
* Exams will be administered and scored on site at a
mutually agreed upon location by your local dairy
sanitarian.
* Successful applicant will move to field exam
portion immediately.
* If applicant fails any portion of the exam, the dairy
sanitarian can provide an on site training
*
* The written exam consists of 25 true/false and multiple choice
questions
* To pass the written exam applicant must receive a score of 80% or
higher
* Field examination will consist of actual on farm procedures
*
* This new process will take effect May 1, 2014
