Latest Developments
Violent clashes between ISIS and Fatah AlSham in blockaded Yarmouk
Camp claimed the lives of dozens of fighters on both sides. Wildfires also
broke out in the area.
According to field sources, 20 ISIS fighters were killed and 40 injured.
The clashes also claimed the life of a Fatah AlSham militant and left
three others wounded.
Clashes have heated up in Yarmouk between the two rival battalions
since late Wednesday evening.
According to ISIS-affiliated Amaq news agency, the attack comes as a
preemptive attempt to force Fatah AlSham out of the camp after the latter
voiced its intent to hand over its sites to the Syrian government forces and
retreat to opposition-led areas in Idlib.
The attack targeted Street 15, Haifa, and AlShuhadaa area. Four
inghimasi fighters (infiltrators) took part in the hostilities. Fighters
onboard an armored vehicle crept into three buildings where Tahrir

AlSham militants were hiding and killed four among them in Street 15. An
explosive-laden suicide motorcycle was remotely detonated by inghimiasi
fighters, who ended up blowing up their explosive vests near a group of
gunmen.
ISIS fighters also said they grabbed hold of a number of buildings in
Haifa Street. An inghimiasi fighter who moved into AlShuhada Street
detonated his explosive vest.
ISIS has intensified presence near flashpoints with Tahrir AlSham amid
fears of simmering hostilities between the two battalions.
According to AGPS reporter, ISIS snipers continue to target Fatah
AlSham run zones. Civilians have launched a cry for help after ISIS
tightened grip on the area and banned the entry of foodstuff and
medicines.
At the same time, the government forces deployed near the main entrance
to Yarmouk Camp struck zones led by ISIS and Tahrir AlSham in the
camp with missiles, resulting in deaths and material damage, according
to a pro-government Facebook page.
A state of panic further overwhelmed civilians in Tahrir AlSham-led
zones due to the deadly clashes and sniper attacks. Activists also said
more civilian buildings in the camp have been razed to the ground,
calling on all warring parties to cease hostilities and shelling on the
camp and to urgently work on saving stranded civilians.

A couple of days ago, ISIS ordered the residents of AlMadaris Street and
its environs in Yarmouk to evacuate their homes and head to AlTakadum
neighborhood.
On April 4, 2017, ISIS forced civilians out of their homes near Abdul
Kadir AlHusseini Mosque and Haifa Street, after they declared the area a
closed military zone.
On April 10, 2017, ISIS forced the residents of western Yarmouk to

the same pretext.
Nearly 3,000 Palestinians trapped inside Yarmouk have been grappling
with abject conditions due to the unabated hostilities between the

In another development, a series of protest moves was staged by
Palestinian refugees sheltered in AlNeirab Camp in Aleppo in solidarity
with the Palestinian hunger-striking detainees in Israeli lock-ups.
Activists said the situation of the Palestinians of Syria has been no less
tragic as thousands of refugees have had mysterious fates in regime
prisons.
AGPS kept record of the incarceration of 1,187 Palestinian refugees in
Syrian government lock-ups, where 461 refugees also died under torture.
In the meantime, the committee of the Palestinians of Syria in Lebanon
warned the Palestinian and Syrian refugees in Lebanon of frauds carried
out by a number of refugees in the area.
The committee said it received a letter warning that a number of refugees
posed for delegates of a so-called Comunità di Sant'Egidio Italian NGO
and claimed to broker trips to Italy and France. The delegates fill out
counterfeit application documents and ask for $200 and a copy of identity
documents to broker the trip.
