Tony, Congratulations on 25 years of Richmond Squires Basketball. You have been helping kids since I was four years old! Basketball in Virginia owes you a debt of gratitude for the amount of time and energy you have put into helping boys mature into responsible young men. As a coach I am also appreciative of the stress you place on your players to achieve in the classroom. Very few young basketball players understand the importance of education. Basketball will end for everyone, but ones education will last a lifetime. You have always made academics come first and the proof is in the pudding with your son Anthony Squire a sophomore here at Yale! As a basketball coach I also appreciate your knowledge of the game and understanding of what it takes for a young man to succeed at the college level. I always value your honesty about players strengths and weaknesses. You are always no nonsense, you never try to sell me on a player who would not fit into our program. You try and find the right Fit where each of your young men can be the most successful. It is amazing that with all of your contacts with High School and College Coaches that you have never moved on to a bigger stage with brighter lights. But I know that reason is because of your dedication to the young men of Richmond who need positive male role models in their lives. To stress to them the importance of hardwork, selflessness and dedication in the classroom. Best of Luck in the next 25 years and know you always have a friend in New Haven Sincerely Jamie Snyder-Fair
