The 2017 World Police and Fire Games will be presented in Southern California either in Los Angeles or in San Diego. The Games will be a ten day period between August 5 and August 18. August 30, 2016 Update: The Los Angeles 2017 World Police and Fire Games working group has successfully completed their feasibility study and is working on obtaining the financial support needed to fund the Games. They should complete their work within the next 10-14 days. July, 29, 2016 Update: We are still working with the City of Los Angeles to determine the feasibility of hosting the Games. We know that time is of the essence and are making every attempt to expedite the process. We will release new information as soon as it is confirmed. Thank you all for your patience and your dedication to the Games Wednesday, July 6, 2016 Update: We received a formal declination letter from Toronto today. Although this decision is disappointing, it is completely understandable. Despite this setback, we owe a great debt of gratitude to the men and women of the Toronto Police and Fire Services and the Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association for their all-out effort to host the 2017 Games. Today, members of the World Police & Fire Games Federation met with the Chief of Police of the City of Los Angles (California) to discuss the possibility of hosting the 2017 World Police & Fire Games. He seemed enthusiastic about hosting the Games.
