PIT PASSES ($10): The driver and all crew members must
purchase a pit pass at the pit gate, which is for participant
secondary medical insurance.
All State Fair of Virginia Demolition Derby Qualifiers who
competed and won an event with JM Motorsport Productions on
October 7th or 8th, will receive a free State Championship Entry
to compete in Event #6, 7 or 8 on October 8th, with a wrecked or
fresh car.
PIT GATE/HOURS: All vehicles must enter through Gate #1
off Dawn Blvd. Take exit 98 East off I-95, go 1 ¾ miles and
Gate 1 will be on your left. From 301, turn west on Rt. 30 and
drive 3 miles and Gate 1 will be on your right. The Meadow
Event Park is conveniently located 30 miles south of
Fredericksburg and 25 miles north of Richmond.

Welcome to the State Fair of Virginia. JM Motorsport Productions is
proud to produce the Motorsports events once again in 2017. Our
Rules are designed in equal competition to give everyone a chance to
win.
JM MOTORSPORT PRODUCTIONS RULES: FIGURE 8 RULES #3 WILL APPLY
FOR ALL 4 CYLINDER CARS. MIDSIZE MODIFIED RULES #12 WILL APPLY
FOR ALL 6 CYLINDER CARS. HEAVEY WEIGHT SEMI MODIFIED RULES #15
WILL APPLY FOR ALL 8 CYLINDER CARS AND RULE SHEET #11 WILL APPLY

Drivers may enter a car in each qualifying event.
You must be 16 years old to enter the pits. Anyone under
the age of 18 must sign a minor’s release with a parent
or guardian during the pit gate hours.
CAR REMOVAL: All competition vehicles must be removed
from the race track area each evening. Competition
Vehicles will be permitted in the pit area overnight
providing an entry fee has been paid.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7th at 6:00 PM
POWER WHEELS DEMOITION DERBY: 6/12 VOLT POWER WHEELS
DEMOLITION DERBY: All kids entering will receive a trophy – See
rules attached.
FIGURE 8 QUALIFYING EVENTS #2-#4: In each of these events, the
“Winner” (first car to cross the finish line after a pre-determined
number of laps), will receive a Trophy, $100, and will qualify to run
in Championship Event #4 on October 8th. There is always the
possibility of having a consolation race for “unqualified” cars and
drivers.
QUALIFYING EVENTS #5: 6 Cylinder Cars only: In this event the
“Winner” (last car running) will receive a Trophy, $100, and is
guaranteed a starting position in the Championship Demolition
Derby on Sunday, October 8th. Second Place driver will receive a
Trophy and $25. Could have a Qualifying event on Sunday.
QUALIFYING EVENTS #6: 8 Cylinder Cars only: In this event the
“Winner” (last car running) will receive a Trophy, $100, and is
guaranteed a starting position in the Championship Demolition
Derby on Sunday, October 8th. Second Place driver will receive a
Trophy and $25. Could have a Qualifying event on Sunday.
***QUALIFING/CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS***
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8th at 6:00 PM
FIGURE 8 QUALIFYING EVENTS #1-#3: In each of these events, the
“Winner” (first car to cross the finish line after a pre-determined
number of laps), will receive a Trophy, $100, and will qualify to run
in Championship Event #4 on October 8th. There is always the
possibility of having a consolation race for “unqualified” cars and
drivers.
FIGURE 8 CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT #4: Open to the “First Place”
winning drivers and their cars that qualified in Events #2 - #4 on
October 7th, and the 3 winners from the previous events. Winner will
receive the Championship Trophy and $1000, Second place will
receive $500 and a Trophy.
DEMOLITION DERBY QUALIFYING EVENT #5: 4 Cylinder Cars only:
Figure 8 rules will apply except optional rules 10b & 16a &16b. In
this event the “Winners” (last 3 cars running) will receive a Trophy,
$100, and are guaranteed a starting position in Championship Event
#7.
DEMOLITION DERBY EVENT #6: 6 CYLINDER CHAMPIONSHIP: The
“Winners” from previous events, as well as the County Fair
Champions from County Fair Champions from ANY STATE, will
compete. (A “fresh” car may be used in this event.) Winner, last car
running will receive the Championship Trophy and $1000, Second
place will receive a Trophy and $300.

$1000, Second place will receive a Trophy and $300.

JM Motorsport Production’s developed this form of
action racing by using compact cars to enhance
excitement for both drivers and spectators. Utilizing
smaller, lightweight cars takes on all the excitement of a
full-sized Figure “8” without likely danger to the drivers.
Speeds average between 5 and 15 miles an hour and
only 5 to 8 cars are allowed at a time. Unlike the
traditional brute-force demo, in this event it is your
ability to out-think and out-maneuver the other driver
that makes you the WINNER! Because of its challenge,
drivers all over are switching to FIGURE 8 RACING. With
strict guidelines/rules and the help of the drivers, we
have made this race fun and fair for all.
1. Car numbers and heats are determined by postmark date. Don’t
wait, mail your entry today.
2. Figure 8 Drivers will receive an acceptance letter which will state
car # and heat #.
3. To guarantee your acceptance, all Figure 8 entries must be mailed

4. Entries for the October 8th event (second show) will not be
accepted until we have enough cars entered in the October
7th event (first show) unless you are entering both shows.
JMP NEAT LEGAL TRICKS:






Move battery next to the firewall (heater box area).
Replace 2-feet of metal gas line next to gas tank with a
rubber hose and clamps.
Spray spark plugs/wires (distributor cap) with spray ignition
waterproofing and cover distributor with a baggie.
Move any electrical boxes in grill area to the firewall.
Cut transmission cooler lines at transmission and join them
together (hose and clamps).
Pad driver’s door (inside) with foam from rear seat cushion.
