The Phatshoane Henney Group of Associated
Law Firms is the largest association of law
firms in South Africa. The group consists of
independent law firms, practicing in association
under the Phatshoane Henney brand. Member
firms share strategic issues, support services
and derive value from the economies of scale
of the group.
Member firms also benefit from the state of the
art group Knowledge Centre, dedicated online
training facilities, marketing initiatives and
other services which allow firms to concentrate
on the business of practising law. Clients have

What Can You Expect?
Candidates receive hands-on training at group
firms. Learning-by-doing and learning-by
listening involve candidates in the finer aspects
of a legal practice and through skills transfer
SASSETA together with L.E.A.D. Where possible
candidates that have obtained an LL.B degree
and are prepared to attend Law School at
an accredited School for Legal Practice, are
assisted to apply for a learnership which will
fund the attendance of Law School as well as
provide for a fixed learning programme to be
followed by the learner during his/her articles.
Firms support performance evaluation of
candidates,
ensuring
that
candidates
are
informed of the required performance standards
and performance is periodically assessed.
How Do I Apply?
The group annually recruits candidate attorneys across South Africa for appointment at member firms. Applications are open all
year, although interested candidates are encouraged to apply earlier rather than later to avoid positions being filled prior to their
application.
