This guide describes how to install Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy Store to Folder for
administrators. Be sure to read this guide before using Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy
Store to Folder.
The guide assumes that you are familiar with a personal computer and your machine.
For information on a personal computer, refer to the manuals provided with the personal
computer. For information on how to operate your machine, refer to the guides
(Administrator Guide/User Guide) provided with each machine.

• The screen described on this guide may differ from the machine you use, depending on the
controller software version of your machine.
• Some items may not be displayed on the screen and some services may not be able to be used,
depending on how your system administrator configures the machine.

Features Overview
About Easy UI Solution
Easy UI Solution provides some optional applications and allows you to access the services
you often use with a simpler operation.
The following services are installed with Easy UI Solution.
Note
• For more information on the service details, operation methods, and notes and restrictions on each
services, refer to the Easy UI Solution User Guide.
Custom Menu
System administrators configure Custom Menu that is a screen on which the frequentlyused services are displayed in large sized buttons, and the screen can be used in place of the
Services Home screen.
When the machine is in the Login mode, authenticated users can configure their original
Custom Menu screen.
The following service buttons are displayed on the Custom Menu screen by default:

The services included in Easy UI Solution
- Easy Copy
- Easy Store to Folder

The existing services
- Send from Folder
- Fax
Important • Custom Menu is not available when
[Network Accounting] is selected for
[Accounting Type] under [Accounting] on the [Tools] screen. In this case, use the Services Home
screen.
• The optional services such as Easy Copy, Easy Store to Folder, Private Charge Print (Print All), Private
Charge Print (Simple Check), and Custom Menu take a longer time to become available after they
start compared to a time the standard menus and services take to do.
Note
• When your machine does not support the Fax service, [Fax] is not displayed. The buttons displayed
following [Fax] move to the previous position one by one.
• Private Charge Print (Print All) and Private Charge Print (Simple Check) are abbreviated as [Private
Charge Print (All)] and [Private Charge Print (Simple)] on the screen respectively.
• [Private Charge Print (All)] and [Private Charge Print (Simple)] are not displayed on the default
Custom Menu screen. When these Private Charge Print services are used, add service buttons by
referring to "Custom Menu Settings" (P.32). Moreover, in order to use the Private Charge Print
service, the setting is needed. For information on how to set the Private Charge Print, refer to the
Administrator Guide.
Easy Copy
This service allows you to copy documents easily using the first screen on which only
frequently-used service buttons are displayed.
Also you can create a One-touch Application by changing the setting values of this service
and create a service button different from [Easy Copy] by duplicating the settings whose
default value and the order of the items are modified.
Easy Store to Folder
This service allows for displaying folders where you can access so that you can easily select
the storage location of the scanned data.

Also you can create a One-touch Application by changing the setting values of this service
and create a service button different from [Easy Store to Folder] by duplicating the settings
whose default value and the order of the items are modified.
Private Charge Print (Print All)
This service allows authenticated users to print all the unprinted Private Charge Print jobs
stored on the machine at once.
Note
• This service button is not displayed on the Custom Menu screen by default.
Private Charge Print (Simple Check)
This service allows you to check the Private Charge Print job on the screen display which is
easily viewable.
Authenticated users can change the print settings of the Private Charge Print jobs sent from
their computer on the machine and can reprint the completed jobs or the print jobs being
transferred or transferred.
Note
• This service button is not displayed on the Custom Menu screen by default.
One-touch Application
One-touch Application is a service button to which a frequency-used settings are assigned
and allows you to start a job only by pressing it on the Custom Menu screen after a
document is loaded. The screen that shows the service overview is displayed after you select
the service button to prevent an incorrect operation.
To Use the Services Home Screen
[Easy Copy], [Easy Store to Folder], [Private Charge Print (All)], and [Private Charge Print
(Simple)] buttons are added on the Services Home screen after installing Easy UI Solution.
You can access these services from the Services Home screen without using the Custom
Menu screen.
Important • The service buttons may not appear after installing Easy UI Solution depending on the version of
the controller software of the machine. In this case, select [Tools] > [Common Service Settings] >
[Screen / Button Settings] > [Services Home] and specify their service buttons. For detailed
procedure, refer to Administrator Guide.
• The service buttons created in [Create One-touch Application] and [Copy Application] cannot be
used on the Services Home screen.
• [Create One-touch Application] and [Copy Application] are not available for [Easy Copy] or [Easy
Store to Folder] on the Services Home screen.
About ScanAuto
This service allows you to scan documents only by pressing the <Start> button after loading
original documents.
The scanned data can be sent to the specified e-mail address (the authenticated user’s email address when the Authentication feature is enabled) as a PDF or DocuWorks file.
You can also save the scanned data on a computer using the Scan to PC service version 1.7
or later.

• For more information on this service such as operation methods, and the notes and restrictions, refer
to the ScanAuto User Guide.
About Easy Store to Folder
Easy Store to Folder is an optional application that allows you to simply operate Store to
Folder service on the machine.

Features Overview
Easy Store to Folder allows for displaying folders where you can access so that you can easily
select the storage location of the scanned data.
You can install Easy Store to Folder independently, however this service is included in Easy
UI Solution.
Note
• The features provided by Easy Store to Folder included in Easy UI Solution and Easy Store to Folder
installed independently are the same.
• [Copy Application] and [Create One-touch Application] for Easy Store to Folder are only available on
the Custom Menu screen of Easy UI Solution. Easy UI Solution must be installed on the machine.
• For more information on this service such as operation methods, and the notes and restrictions, refer
to the Easy Store to Folder User Guide.

Before Installation
You need to confirm the supported models and the system requirements and to configure
required settings on your machine before installing Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy
Store to Folder.
Supported Models
For information on the supported models, refer to the last page (P.39).
System Requirements
The services included in Easy UI Solution, the ScanAuto service, and the Easy Store to Folder
service are available on the machine that satisfies the following requirements. If your
machine does not satisfy the requirements, purchase our optional components as needed.


Note
• If the Solid State Drive or the SSD Extension Kit is installed on your machine, please read "Hard Disk"
as "Solid State Drive".
You can confirm whether your machine satisfies the requirements or not according to the
following steps.

Press the <Machine Status> button on the control panel.

Select [Machine Configuration] on the [Machine Information] tab.

Check that [Hard Disk] is shown on the screen and the value for [System Memory Size] is
2,048 MB or larger.
4
Select [Close] repeatedly until the Services Home screen is displayed.
Supported Operating Systems
You need a computer connected to a network and running one of the following operating
systems to install, uninstall, or upgrade Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy Store to Folder.

Before Installation
Configure Custom Services Feature
Custom Services feature is required to use Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy Store to
Folder.
There are the following ways to configure the Custom Services feature and the way to be
taken differs depending on the model of your machine. For information on the models, refer
to the last page (P.39).

To register the license key for software options with your machine

To enable Custom Services on the menu of CentreWare Internet Services
Important • It takes a few minutes longer than usual to warm-up the machine after you register the license key
for software options or to enable the Custom Services feature.
• If any Custom services (optional services) are installed on the machine in advance, the service
buttons of the Custom services (optional services) are added on the Services Home screen after you
register the license key for software options or enable the Custom Services feature. We recommend
that you delete unnecessary buttons on [Services Home] under [Tools] > [Common Service Settings]
> [Screen / Button Settings]. For detailed procedure, refer to the Administrator Guide.
Note
• If [Web Browser Setup] is shown under [System Settings], the Custom Services feature has already
been enabled. In this case, proceed to "Environment Settings" (P.13).
Register the License Key for Software Options with Your Machine
For information on the license key for software options, refer to the last page (P.39).

Enter the system administrator’s user ID with
the numeric keypad or the keyboard displayed
on the screen, and select [Enter].

• The screen displayed on the machine may
differ depending on the model.
Select [Maintenance] in [Common Service
Settings] under [System Settings].

keyboard.

Select [Reboot].
The machine is rebooted.
Enable Custom Services Using CentreWare Internet Services

Start a web browser on your computer connected to a network.

Enter the machine's IP address into the address bar on the browser, and then press the
<Enter> key. CentreWare Internet Services starts.
Note
• While connecting to or operating CentreWare Internet Services, a pop-up screen prompting you to
enter the user ID and passcode may appear. In this case, enter the system administrator’s user ID
and passcode, and then click [OK].

Select the [Properties] tab > [Security] > [Plug-in / Custom Services Settings] > [Custom
Services], and then select the [Enabled] check box.

Click [Apply].

When the message prompting you to reboot the machine appears, click [Reboot Machine].
Click [OK] on the confirmation screen. The machine is rebooted and the specified setting is
reflected.

• The smart card information is unavailable when [Login Type] is set to [No Login Required] and both
the IC Card Gate (sold separately) and the IC Card Reader (optional) are connected to the machine.
For information on each item, refer to the Administrator Guide provided with the machine.
Note
• Rebooting the machine may be required depending on the settings. When a message is displayed
on the screen, follow the message and reboot the machine.
SOAP Port

Select [Tools] > [System Settings] > [Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Port Settings] >
[SOAP], and then press [Change Settings].

[TCP/IP - Network Settings], and then set an IP address, a subnet mask, and a gateway
address to use the machine in TCP/IP network environment.

Select [Close] repeatedly until the [Tools] screen is displayed.

Select [Tools] > [System Settings] > [Web Browser Setup] > [Web Applications Version], and
then press [Change Settings].

• If [Web Browser Setup] is not displayed, you need to register the license key for software options or
to enable the Custom Services feature. For more information, refer to "Configure Custom Services
Feature" (P.11).

Select [V5], and then select [Save].

Before Installation
SSL / TLS Settings in CentreWare Internet Services
You need to establish the communication between your computer and machine via a
network using HTTP over SSL/TLS, when you install, uninstall, or upgrade Easy UI Solution,
ScanAuto, and Easy Store to Folder.
You can enable SSL/TLS with CentreWare Internet Services according to the following
procedures.
1
Start a web browser on your computer connected to a network.
2
Enter the machine's IP address into the address bar on the browser, and then press the
<Enter> key. CentreWare Internet Services starts.
Note

• While connecting to or operating CentreWare Internet Services, a pop-up screen prompting you to
enter the user ID and passcode may appear. In this case, enter the system administrator’s user ID
and passcode, and then click [OK].
Select the [Properties] tab > [Security] > [Machine Digital Certificate Management], and
then click [Create New Certificate] > [Self-Signed Certificate] > [Continue].

• Depending on the model, click the [Create New Self-Signed Certificate] button under the [Properties]
tab > [Security] > [Machine Digital Certificate Management].
• XPS stands for XML Paper Specification.

After a self-signed certificate is successfully created, refresh the web browser.

Select the [Properties] tab > [Security] > [SSL / TLS Settings], and then select the [Enabled]
check box for [HTTP - SSL / TLS Communication].

When the message prompting you to reboot the machine appears, click [Reboot Machine].

Click [OK] on the confirmation screen. The machine is rebooted and the specified setting is

Installation Procedures
This section describes how to install Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy Store to Folder on
your machine.
Note
• During machine operation or jobs in progress, installation process cannot be started.
• During installation process, a message "The machine is currently connected to an external
equipment. Do not power off the machine." and the Services Home screen are displayed in turns on
the machine's control panel. The installation may be suspended when the following situations occur
while the Services Home screen is displayed:
- The machine's control panel is operated.
- Smart WelcomEyes detects human presence.
• When the installation is suspended, select the [Reinstall to devices with errors] check box and then
click [Reinstall] on the displayed screen. You can perform the installation from the installation screen
again.

This section describes how to install Easy UI Solution.

Save the installer on your computer.

Log into the machine when the Authentication feature is enabled.
1) Press the <Log In/Out> button on the control panel.
2) Enter the system administrator’s user ID
with the numeric keypad or the keyboard
displayed on the screen, and select [Enter].

• When a passcode is used to log into the
machine, select [Next] and then enter the

machine's controller. In this case, print the Configuration report and check that there is the ID of
each service in Custom Services on the list.
The ID of each service is as follows.
CS-RM-00108: Custom Menu
CS-RM-00109: Easy Copy
CS-RM-00122: Private Charge Print (Print All)
CS-RM-00140: Private Charge Print (Simple Check)
CS-RM-00141: Easy Store to Folder
CS-RM-00124: ScanAuto
Then proceed to "Before Using the Services of Easy UI Solution" (P.31).
Note
• Normally, service buttons for the installed services are added onto the last page of the Services
Home screen. Check all the pages of the Services Home screen to see if each service button is
displayed.
• If the Custom Menu screen does not appear, make sure that the necessary environment settings are
configured properly on the machine. For information on the environment settings, refer to
"Environment Settings" (P.13).
• When your machine does not support the Fax service, [Fax] is not displayed. The buttons displayed
following [Fax] move to the previous position one by one.
To use each service included in Easy UI Solution, you need to configure the settings required
for each service on the machine. Proceed to "Before Using the Services of Easy UI Solution"
(P.31).
To use ScanAuto, proceed to "Settings to Use ScanAuto" (P.36).

Uninstallation / Version Upgrade Procedures
This section describes how to uninstall or upgrade Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy
Store to Folder on the machine.
Note
• When you uninstall Easy UI Solution, ScanAuto, and Easy Store to Folder, all of their services are
deleted.
• When you uninstall Easy UI Solution, all settings that users have configured on Custom Menu are
deleted.
• When you select [Reinstall] to upgrade Easy UI Solution, the settings that each user has configured
on Custom Menu are not deleted. The settings such as the layout of service buttons, the default
value on the each service screen, the created One-touch Application, or the histories of used
addresses are taken over by the new version. However, the setting information of [All Services
Button], [Allow Local User Customization], and [When Services Home is Pressed] on the Admin
Settings screen of Custom Menu may not be taken over. In this case, configure them again.

This section describes how to uninstall or upgrade Easy UI Solution.

Before Using the Services of Easy UI Solution
This section describes the necessary settings before using each service included in Easy UI
Solution.
Home Screen Setting
The Custom Menu screen can be displayed instead of the Services Home screen when you
log into the machine or press the <Services Home> button.
The services included in Easy UI Solution are also available on the Services Home screen.
However, on the Services Home screen, you cannot create service buttons using the Onetouch Application and the Copy Application feature, or arrange such service buttons on the
Services Home screen. In this case, use the Custom Menu screen.

• We recommend that you display only service buttons you use when you use the services included in
Easy UI Solution on the Services Home screen. To add or delete buttons, or to change the button
layout on the Service Home screen, select [Tools] > [Common Service Settings] > [Screen / Button
Settings] > [Services Home]. For more information, refer to Administrator Guide.

Custom Menu Settings
The default service buttons are displayed on the Custom Menu screen after Easy UI Solution
is installed on the machine.
If you want to use other services included in Easy UI Solution, add their service buttons to
the Custom Menu screen.
Moreover, the service buttons that are not available for your machine may be displayed on
the Custom Menu screen as default button. In this case, we recommend that you delete
service buttons that are not available for your machine and that you do not use.
For more information on how to operate Custom Menu, refer to the Easy UI Solution User Guide.
Adding service buttons
Note
• Up to 32 service buttons (8 buttons per 1 page, up to 4 pages) can be displayed on the Custom
Menu screen. When 32 buttons are already registered, delete unnecessary buttons and then add
new ones.
For information on how to delete the service buttons, refer to "Deleting service buttons" (P.33).

• This service is available only when the Authentication feature is enabled. For more information on
the Authentication feature, refer to "Environment Settings" (P.13). This service is unavailable when

You need to configure following settings to use ScanAuto.
For information on how to configure each setting, refer to the Administrator Guide provided with the
machine.
Note
• Java Script must be enabled on the web browser.
HTTP Connection Setting

Select [Enabled] for [Internet Services - Port Status] under [System Settings] >
[Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Port Settings] > [Internet Services (HTTP)] on the
[Tools] screen.
E-mail Setting

Select [Enabled] for [Send E-mail - Port Status] under [System Settings] > [Connectivity &
Network Setup] > [Port Settings] > [E-mail] on the [Tools] screen.

Configure an IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address (settings for the use in TCP/
IP network environment) on [TCP/IP - Network Settings] under [System Settings] >
[Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Protocol Settings] on the [Tools] screen.

Configure the machine's e-mail address and the host name on [Machine's E-mail
Address / Host Name] under [System Settings] > [Connectivity & Network Setup] on the
[Tools] screen.

Select [SMTP] or [POP3] for [Protocol to Receive E-mail] under [System Settings] >
[Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Other Settings] on the [Tools] screen.

When [Protocol to Receive E-mail] is set to [SMTP], configure the SMTP server setting on
[SMTP Server Settings] under [System Settings] > [Connectivity & Network Setup] >
[Outgoing / Incoming E-mail Settings] on the [Tools] screen.

When [Protocol to Receive E-mail] is set to [POP3], configure the POP3 server setting on
[POP3 Server Settings] under [System Settings] > [Connectivity & Network Setup] >
[Outgoing / Incoming E-mail Settings] on the [Tools] screen.
Scan to PC Setting

Before scanning, you need to create a shared folder where scanned data is saved on your
computer.

When using SMB protocol, select [Enabled] for [Port Status] under [System Settings] >
[Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Port Settings] > [SMB Client] on the [Tools] screen.

When using FTP protocol, select [Enabled] for [Port Status] under [System Settings] >
[Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Port Settings] > [FTP Client] on the [Tools] screen.
Important • If you use the FTP protocol, you must set the FTP service. For information on the computer
settings, refer to the documentation provided with your operating system. For information on
how to configure the FTP settings on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, refer to the
official website of Apple, Inc..

Specify items such as an IP address, subnet mask and gateway address to use the
machine in a TCP/IP network under [System Settings] > [Connectivity & Network Setup]
> [Protocol Settings] > [TCP/IP - Network Settings] on the [Tools] screen.
