I hereby verify that my child has had a physical exam
within the past year, is in good health and may participate
in all camp activities. In addition, I hereby give
permission to the physician and/or hospital selected by
the answering ambulance in compliance with Onondaga
County Health Regulations to hospitalize, secure proper
treatment for, and to order injection, anesthesia, or surgery
for my child as named above. I agree not to hold the
Town of Manlius or the coaching staff liable for any
injuries, and also that the Town of Manlius and coaching
staff will not be liable for any legal claims arising out of
unforeseeable conditions, motor vehicle accidents, or
negligence of any third party. I am aware that participants
will join the activities at their own risk. There is no
accident insurance carried by the Town of Manlius for
program participants.

Summer Basketball
Camp for Girls
WELCOME TO THE
2015 CAMP !
This marks the seventeenth year of
the summer basketball camp for girls!
Hard work in the off-season pays off!
Hornet Hoops provides girls with fun
opportunities to work on individual
skills and see how these skills fit
within the overall team game.
Participants will come away with
individual drills/skills to practice at
home and an understanding of what
it takes to be successful at the
scholastic levels.
Participants will also have fun through
games, contests, and theme days:

 Spirit Day


Camp Details
Basketball Skills
Coach Scott DeForest,
the girls’ varsity basketball coach
at Fayetteville-Manlius, will run
the sessions with assistance from
coaches in the F-M girls’ program.
The following skills will be
the focus of the sessions:
The camp is set up as ten morning
sessions (8:30-12:00) that will run
Monday through Friday during the
week of June 29th and the week of July
6th. Participants do not have to attend
every session to participate.
Individual Defense
--footwork and stance
--post/perimeter defense
Individual Offense
--ball handling skills/drills
Girls who will be entering grades
4-12 in the fall can participate. Players
will be grouped at times by age, but also
by ability level to maximize the mastery
of skills.

The cost of the camp is $130.
