BNA Carnival Information
Event Details
Date: Sunday August 14th, 2016
Venue: Robinson Netball Centre,
Address: Wilson Park, Cnr Gerring Court and Kooyong Road Rivervale
Matches Commence: 9:00am
Presentation Ceremonies: At the conclusion of final games, approximately 4.00pm
On Arrival
A representative from each team is required to report to the Administration Desk to register
their team and collect the carnival pack, scorecards and fixtures.
Registration & Fees
All teams are required to submit payment when nominating their team. See Team
Nomination Form for payment details.
Fees must be paid prior to the day; teams paying by EFT must allow up to 3 working days
for processing.
Should teams have unaffiliated players, that player must report to the Administration desk to
purchase a single game voucher $10 before taking the court. For further information contact
Anne Deacon, Carnival Coordinator.
Team Nomination Forms
All teams are required to submit completed a Team Nomination Form prior to 30th July
2016. A maximum of 12 players per team may be registered.
Equipment
Teams need to supply own bibs and balls.
Umpires
Each team is to provide one umpire. Teams requiring an umpire (cost $15 per game and
payable prior to the first game) should advise the Carnival Coordinator via the Team
Nomination Form.
Division Winners
The team finishing on top of each Division will be declared the winner. Where two teams
finish on equal points, positions will be determined on percentage.

Presentation Ceremonies
Winning Teams will receive medallions at presentation ceremonies.
Two presentation ceremonies will take place on Court 1. For the Junior and Open Divisions
these will take place immediately after the last final. NETSETGO presentations will take
place immediately after the final game.
Facilities


Teams are permitted to set up marquees on the grassed areas.
Canteen facilities including hot and cold food and drinks available. Lunch orders to be
submitted via the Canteen Order Form (with time required) prior to 10.00am.
Competition Information
Carnival and Game Commencement
Matches will commence at 9.00am, please check fixtures carefully and arrive 30 minutes
prior to your first match.
All teams must be ready to take the courts at the allocated time.
Duration of Matches
All games shall consist of two x 12-minute halves, with a 3 minute interval at half time, when
teams will swap ends.
Timing
All games will be centrally timed and start and finish on the buzzer.
Scorecards
Scorecards will be given out on the day with the first mentioned team to score. Second
mentioned team to check score. The winning team will return the signed score card to the
administration desk at the conclusion of each game. Failure to do so will result in a loss of
points. Points - Two points will be recorded for a win and one point for a draw. If two
teams finish on the same points, the winner will be declared based on percentage.
Forfeits
Any team that is not on court and ready to play from 5-10 minutes from the start time on the
fixtures will be able to play, but they will forfeit 5 goals. Any team that is not on court and
ready to play 10 minutes from the start time on the fixtures will automatically forfeit the game
and the points will be awarded to the other team. Teams can still play, however umpires
must record the game as a forfeit.

Code of Conduct
Netball Australia, Member Organisations and Affiliates seek to provide a safe, fair and
inclusive environment for everyone involved in netball. All carnival participants are required
to abide by the Netball Australia Code of Conduct for administrators, coaches, umpires,
team officials, players and spectators.
Rules Governing Match Play
Open and Junior Divisions



Rules of the game will be those of the Official Rules of Netball, Netball Australia.
Both scorer and other team officials must stand together.
Injury time will not be added on.
Disputes
If there is a dispute this must be made in writing to the Carnival Coordinator. All decisions
are final.
Team Withdrawal
If any team wishes to withdraw prior to the commencement of the Carnival, it can be done
before 6th August 2016 without penalty. Teams will lose their registration fee if they withdraw
after this date.
First Aid
There will be a First Aid Post for the duration of the Carnival. The First Aid Post is located in
the hall.
