Campus card JNU campus card system controls access to a variety of facilities and services across the campus. • The JNU Campus card serves as your student ID, an electronic key, and as a charge card, enabling you to use services for which you have privileges, to enter and exit facilities, to make on-campus purchases and to pay charges. • Card readers (swipe or proximity) match your campus card with system Now there are 3 kinds of campus card in terms of services and applications available to card holders on campus, which are formal card, temporary card, charge card. Formal cards can be divided into student card, faculty/staff card,visitor's card. Temporary card holders have part of or all the privileges that the formal card holders have and its validity is no more than half a year, serving as a temporary substitution of formal card. The third category is charge card, to which the service and application available is making payment. Faculty/Staff Card Visitor's Card Temporary Card Student Card Charge Card • Security & Confidentiality. to ensure the security of the e-purse of campus card, a safeguard measure of “Two Passwords and one Restriction” is placed on your card. • Two passwords: Two passwords have been placed on each campus card, the Payment Password and the Inquiry Password . Both the default payment password and the default inquiry password are the final six numbers of your student number, which is displayed on your card. It is highly recommanded you change the passwords the first time you get your campus card so as to prevent undesired loss of money. Payment Password is the password with which you make on-campus purchase and payment when the amout exceeds the above mentioned restriction or add funds to your campus card and with which you add funds to your account on POS machine. Inquiry Password is the password with with you can conduct query to your account, including telephone query, on-lone query, or query on cash-less ATM(POS Machine). In addition, inquiry password is needed when you report loss of campus card. • One restriction is no-password payment restriction, a restriction placed on your card that in the three time segments each day (00:00-10:00, 10:00-16:00, 16:00-24:00), the total amount of payment without input of password is limited to a maximum of RMB 30. If the amount exceeds the restriction, please input your payment password (please place your card on the proximity reader of cash register, and input your payment password). Passwords and restriction of no-password payment Modification You can modify your passwords and the limit of no-password payment on any campus card service spot with your valid identification, or you can conduct the modification on POS machine. The inquiry password can also be modified • On-campus Purchase/Payment The Campus card also serves as your charge card to pay to any on-campus purchase and charges etc.. The card reader utilized to collect charges is proximity reader. When you make payment in student meal hall, retailers, and computer center etc., please confirm the sum displayed on the screen of card reader, then play your card on the sensor until you hear the card reader give a long signal “Di”, which means the sum has been successfully deduced from your account. If the card reader gives a continuous short signal “Di-Di” instead of “Di”, the connection is failed, which due to the following reasons: • insufficient funds in your card to make payment, • card damage, • the card has been reported lost and registered in the campus card center. If you encounter any of the above situations, please go to the the campus card service center or service spot for consultation. Also, if your accumulative consumption has exceeded restriction (please refers to category 1 for further information of “restriction”), the signal “-------” will be displayed on the screen of the card reader, then you have to input Payment pasaword to make further payment. You can also check your balance and your traction history on line ( http://card.jnu.edu.cn ), on touch screen, POS machine or on telephone. You can also check your balance at the ICBC branch in Jinan University by providing your campus card and your valid identification card. • Ways to recharge • Recharge with cash You can recharge with cash at any cash recharging spots of the Campus Card Service Center on Campus. Your payment password is needed when regarding on POS Machine. • Deactivation and Reactivation If your campus card is lost, please report the loss and deactivate your account as soon as possible so as to prevent any undesired loss. You can either choose to deactivate your account on POS Machine, Touch Screen, on line, or on telephone or deactive your account on any campus card service spot with your valid credentuals that can prove your identity. Reactivation is needed if you find your card. You can either reactivate it on POS machine or go to campus card service spots for reactivation. Introducation to Self-Service Terminal • Quiry System campus card quiry system includes on-line quiry system and touch screen quiry system, with which Card holders can inquiry your balance, tranction history, modify passwords, and deactivate your account. • POS machine Holders of formal cards can transfer funds from your Peony Money Link Card to the e-purse of your campus card on POS machine. You can also conduct modification to your passwords (Inquiry password and payment password), no-password payment restriction, and inquiry your balance on POS machine. • Telephone Voice Quiry & Control System All kinds of card holders can conduct quiry, modify inquiry password and deactivate accounts through our telephone voice quiry and control system of campus card.
