Students roll the die to see who will go first. The student with the highest
number goes first.
All students place their pieces on the “Start” square.
Students roll the die and move their pieces the corresponding number of
spaces.
If the student lands on a blue space, he or she reads the text from the
square to the student on his or her right. That student then responds with
an appropriate question or comment. The turn is then over.
o The first few times that they play, students may use the cue sheet
for suggested responses or create their own. The teacher may offer
constructive feedback on student responses.
If the student lands on a green space, he or she follows the instructions on
the square.
If the student lands on a white space, he or she stays there and the turn is
over.
The first player to reach the “Finish” square is the winner.
