KIDS R KIDS CASTLE HILLS Summer 2013 Dear Parents: We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for enrolling your child in our outstanding summer program. We are so excited about all the wonderful things your child will experience. It is hard to believe that it is already our fifth summer; each year we have enhanced our programs with the goal of providing the best program in the area. In fact, this year we were honored to not only win Best Preschool in DFW but we also won Best Summer Camp in DFW. This year’s summer theme is “Super Summer Adventures!” A curriculum including but not limited to: art, science, crafts, cooking, book and game club will run throughout the summer. We will also host in house programs and numerous outside field trips for the children to enjoy. Please take the time to carefully read through the information provided, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us. Your weekly tuition includes all field trips, in house programs, meals, supplies, activities, and internet camera access. A $100 non-refundable summer camp fee is due at the time of registration and will hold a spot for your child. Tentative field trip calendars will be available by April 1st. Finalized calendars will be available in May, as some field trip destinations will not confirm reservations until closer to summer. For the safety of all children, we do not publish our field trip calendars on our website. The calendars will only be distributed to enrolled families. We will also have splash day in our spray water park each week for the entire summer. We require that all children have updated enrollment information before the start of summer. If you are a new or a returning enrollee to Kids R Kids Castle Hills, you must complete all paperwork in this packet. Each child must have at least one other person authorized pick up other than the parents in the event of an emergency. All paperwork is due at the time of registration, with the exception of the ‘Summer Commitment Schedule’, which is due May 10, 2012. We also ask that you “save the date” for our awesome summer kick-off party on the evening of Friday, June 7th. Once we receive your registration packet, we will include you on all emails regarding camp. We are looking forward to enjoying a safe and fun summer with your child! SUMMER PROGRAM POLICIES: HOURS Kids R’Kids is open 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Most field trips will occur between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (schedules will vary by day). FIELD TRIPS All children in attendance will participate in all activities at the center including field trips. Campers must arrive 15 minutes prior to the departure time, and will not be allowed to remain at the center if the field trip has already left. Campers must ride the bus TO and FROM the field trips and under no circumstances will be allowed to arrive at the field trips with parents or depart from the field trips with parents. This is in accordance with state guidelines. Accounts will not be credited for children not attending the field trip or in house activities. 4516 Maumee Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75010 972-939-KIDS (5437) In the event that a field trip must be changed, parents will be notified 24 hours in advance. If an event must be cancelled or changed due to inclement weather, parents will be notified as soon as such a decision is made. We will not have the means to cook or heat lunches while on a field trip. SPRAY WATER PARK (SPLASH DAY) Children must have the proper attire to participate including a swim suit, swim shoes, and towel. Your child may arrive in their Splash Day attire and bring a change of clothes for the rest of the day. Sunscreen must be applied at home each morning and the children may reapply it each afternoon with a signed sunscreen permission slip on file. MEALS All meals are included in your weekly tuition. No credits will be given for providing your own meals. Times for meals are as follows: breakfast 8:15-8:45 a.m., lunch 11:30-12:00 or 11:45-12:15 p.m., and snack 3:30-3:50 p.m. If your child will be arriving after their meal time, they must have eaten prior to arrival. Your child may choose to bring a snack or sack lunch throughout the summer, provided that there are no peanut products, candy, soda, or energy drinks. Texas Minimum Standards requires a signed waiver if you are providing alternative meals or snacks for your child (waiver is included on permission slip). There will be a few field trips where lunch must be brought. You will be notified in advance of those trips. On those days, you can choose to bring a lunch or have Kids R‟ Kids provide the lunch. *Mealtimes may vary slightly to accommodate fieldtrip times FEES A $100.00 registration fee is required for all new and returning summer camp participants. Weekly tuition is $190.00- all inclusive. Tuition is not prorated for absences or illness. A sibling discount of 5% will be applied to the oldest child’s tuition for each week that the children attend together. All tuition is due on Friday for the upcoming week. Tuition is considered late after close of business Monday. Your account will be charged $10.00 on Tuesday and $10.00 per day for every day there after that your tuition is late. Tuition more than three days past due will result in suspension of care until the account is current. ELECTRONIC GAME POLICY Electronic games are permitted in the center, however, the following rules and policies apply to the use of these items: 1) Children may only play their games or the school’s games during specific times given by the teachers. 2) Only ONE game may be brought to the center daily. 3) All items must be labeled with your child’s first and last name. 4) Children may not trade, share or borrow games. Please discuss these rules and policies with your child before bringing their electronics to the center. Kids ‘R’ Kids will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged electronic systems, games or equipment. 4516 Maumee Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75010 972-939-KIDS (5437) CELL PHONE POLICY Children are not permitted to bring cell phones to summer camp. You may call our center at any time to check in on your child. If it is necessary for your child to have a phone, (ie: it is a Friday and another parent will have the child over the weekend, etc.) please speak with the director about arrangements. SHOE POLICY Children are required to wear tennis shoes on all field trips. Please bring a pair of socks and tennis shoes to keep in your child's cubby if this is helpful. For the safety of your child, we ask that they do not wear shoes without a back or those that slip on and off easily (i.e. flip flops). SICKNESS POLICY I understand that if my child is ill, including, but not limited to: (Symptoms and signs of possible severe illness such as lethargy, abnormal breathing, uncontrolled diarrhea, two or more vomiting episodes in 24 hours, rash with fever, mouth sores with drooling, behavior changes, or other signs that the child may be severely ill), he or she cannot be accepted into the center until they have been symptom free for 24 hours. Upon notification of a sick child, parents must make arrangements for the child to be picked up within one hour. If your child is sent home with any of the above, it is our policy for your child to remain out of the Center for one full day or until he/she is symptom free without the aid of medication. Your child must be able to fully participate in the program, both indoors and outdoors, to remain in the Center. A Doctor’s note may be required prior to your child returning to the Center. Kids ‘R’ Kids reserves the right to withhold a child from attending any field trips or activities due to behavioral or safety issues, in this event, you will be contacted as to the nature of the situation.
