YOUR CLUB – YOUR OPINIONS
Hello all,
We are keen to understand what you; our members have to say about the club, the tournaments we
run, the social events we put on and how we can improve what we do. To help with this, we would
appreciate your assistance by completing the survey form below and sending in your thoughts to us.
We have not asked for names so that people can feel free to put whatever comments they wish,
although I would ask that you please put in constructive thoughts. If you are unhappy with anything
then please put your suggestion for improvement in the relative comments box.
We will collate all the replies and let members know what has been said and the action committee
proposes to address the points raised.
The survey will be based on people answering the questions with:

Tennis Tournaments and social tennis
We now run 7 “American” style tennis tournaments a year:
Lily Nickels; Fred Adams; Chris Brown; Norman Plate; Jubilee; Beginners, Intermediate and higher
level club players. Most of these follow the same or a similar format where players are drawn
randomly to play with different partners every round. The top 4 players then play a final.

Social tennis at weekends
To encourage all players to mix in and ensure no one is left without a game for long periods, the
committee support the use of the board system. We would like to know your thoughts regarding this

New Members
We are always looking at ways to increase our playing members and always on the look out for new
ideas. What suggestions do you have to increase our tennis membership?
Section 2
Social events.
The committee are keen to receive ideas and thoughts from members regarding the entertainments
we provide. Club events are a good source of income for us if they are well attended but can lose
money if just a few people attend. The main social events planned are quizzes, tennis tournaments
and Christmas dinner. Please respond to the following questions:
