GOSFORD NETBALL ASSOCIATION SCORESHEET PROCEDURE
Scoresheets for all games for the entire day are on the clipboard for each court. If the clipboard is not in the
Centre Circle of the court the team listed first on the draw (left hand side) may collect it from the Scoresheet
Pigeonholes upstairs in the Clubhouse.
At the conclusion of the game the score sheet (ONLY) becomes the responsibility of the winning team and
MUST BE PROMPTLY RETURNED TO THE RED SCORESHEET BOX UPSTAIRS.
The clipboard should be returned to the Centre Circle with remaining scoresheets for the day at the end of
each match.
The team that wins the toss (ie. has the first centre pass) will become the “official scorer”. Please ensure you
abide by our policy documentation which states the following:
“6.2 Scorers must be at least 15 years of age”.
“6.4 The official scorer must have the score sheet in clear view of the scorer of the opposing
team and both shall sit near the middle of a sideline”.
“6.5 Failure to comply with rule 6.4 above, will result in the opposing team becoming the official
scorer”.
If any team would like a copy of their scoresheet, they can be photocopied upstairs at any time during the
day.
Names on these scoresheets have been automatically generated from the database. Please ensure you check
these names carefully and notify ANY changes to your Club Registrar/Secretary IMMEDIATELY. All borrowed
players need to written on the section of the scoresheet and what grade they are from.
Please ensure you fill in all appropriate information as listed below for each playing category.
NETTA SCORESHEETS – minimum requirements listed below, other areas on the scoresheet are optional:





Write down position played each quarter for each Player;
Put an “A” next to Player Name if absent;
Record any Borrowed Players and ensure to include the NAME and GRADE;
Mark off goals AND attempts;
Sign scoresheet – Umpire and Scorer.
JUNIOR AND SENIOR SCORESHEETS – minimum requirements listed below, other areas on the scoresheet are
optional:





Record a tick against each player that takes the court;
Put an “A” next to Player Name if absent;
Record any Borrowed Players and ensure to include the NAME and GRADE;
Mark off goals in pre-numbered section and CIRCLE Final Score;
Sign scoresheet – Umpire and Scorer.
GOSFORD NETBALL ASSOCIATION BORROWING POLICY
The order for borrowing players in GNA grades is as follows, all borrowings must be within age restrictions
& GNA Policy.
 Players may only play TWO (2) games as a borrowed player in any one team – penalties may apply;
 Teams may borrow up to THREE (3) players as per the Borrowing table below BUT must have at least
four (4) registered team members on court at commencement of the game;
 ALL players must be at least 15 years of age on day of play in any senior division as per Policies 1.2.2.2 &
1.4.5;
 Junior players may only play in teams 2 years above their current age (not playing division) as per Policy
1.2.2.1.
Please make sure your teams understand the Borrowing Policy to avoid penalties and loss of points.
