Understanding the Rules
General Rules of Conduct for all Players…
ÿ No profane language.
ÿ No chewing gum.
ÿ All food, snacks, drinks must be kept in the snack bar area. Players may bring a water bottle the team area as long as it
has a lid on it. No open containers.
ÿ Players cannot enter or exit the building with skates on. They must enter or exit wearing shoes. No BARE FEET!
ÿ Skating is not allowed outside the building, or in the parking lot.
ÿ No sitting on or jumping over the carpeted walls or climbing over the benches.
ÿ All players must be in full equipment for games and practices. Full equipment means; helmet, mouthgaurd, shin
and elbow protection, gloves and skates. Cups for male players are optional, but highly recommended.
ÿ There shall be no playing “hockey” anywhere but on the skating floor.
ÿ There shall be no playing “tag” or other games in the lobby and snack bar areas.
ÿ Other rink rules will be followed as posted at various locations in the rink.

ÿ No outside food is allowed.
ÿ All children/siblings must be kept with an adult at all times for safety reasons.

ÿ The Golden Skate Hockey League fully endorses USA Hockey Inline’s Sportsmanship policy regarding parents and
spectators.
ÿ At the discretion of the Referees or the League Director, the game may be stopped when the parents/spectators displaying
inappropriate and disruptive behavior interfere with other spectators or participants of the game.
ÿ The Referees or the League Director may identify violators to the coaches/captions for the purpose of removing
parents/spectators from the spectators viewing and game area.
ÿ Violators may be subject to further disciplinary action by the local governing body and/or the facility.
ÿ This inappropriate and disruptive behavior shall include:
o Throwing any object in the spectators viewing area, players bench, penalty box or the playing surface, that
in any manner creates a safety hazard.
o Taunting players, coaches, officials or other spectators by means of baiting, ridiculing, threatening physical
violence, or physical violence.
o Using obscene or vulgar language in a boisterous manner to anyone at any time.
ÿ For the safety of our parents/spectators there shall be no parents/spectators in the player area during games or
practices.
ÿ Support the Referees and Coaches by trusting their judgment and integrity.
ÿ Respect Players, Coaches and Officials.
ÿ Refrain from any offensive behavior.
Our goal is to make The Golden Skate Hockey League a safe and happy experience for all our players and
patrons. These guidelines are for your safety. We appreciate your cooperation and hope these guidelines make
your visit here more enjoyable.
I/We have read the rules and agree to abide by these rules set forth. By
allowing our/my child to participate in The Golden Skate Hockey League, I
assume all responsibilities for any injuries resulting from the sport, and
shall hold the coaches, league director(s) and The Golden Skate harmless
from any action brought against the same.
