—ATLANTIS™ Conus concept
During 2014 DENTSPLY Implants launched
ATLANTIS Conus Abutments (overdenture and custom)
for attachment-retained restorations. We are now
introducing the ATLANTIS Conus concept which provides
fully edentulous patients with a cost-effective, implantsupported prosthesis. The solution has the stability of a
friction-retained, non-resilient prostheses, but the comfort
of a fixed restoration. The concept is composed of patientspecific ATLANTIS Conus abutments (overdenture) together
with prefabricated SynCone caps. The ATLANTIS Conus
abutments are individually designed using the patented
ATLANTIS VAD (Virtual Abutment Design) software.
This ensures that all abutments are parallel to each
other, and that their restorative margin is as close to the
soft tissue as possible. In addition, the ATLANTIS Conus
concept also offers several advantages for patients such
as easy cleaning, optimal chewing function, sense of taste,
desirable phonetic function and esthetic result.

DENTSPLY Implants continues to expand
its Digital Solutions offering for ATLANTIS
patient-specific abutments with a connection
to exocad® DentalCAD. This latest
development will provide dental laboratories
with an improved digital workflow. The
added value includes cost savings and
expedited order completion.
The connectivity with exocad was made
possible through an agreement with exocad
GmbH in Germany, enabling an interface
within exocad DentalCAD for ordering
ATLANTIS patient-specific abutments.
Orders are based on data from the many
scanners supported by the exocad platform.
Additional development will bring integration
of the ATLANTIS Abutment Core File, which
is a digital file of the total case, including
the outer surface of the ATLANTIS Abutment
that allows the dental technician to design
a temporary or final crown even before the
final ATLANTIS Abutment is delivered.
exocad DentalCAD users will have
automated import of the ATLANTIS Abutment
Core File into their exocad dental projects.
The launch is planned for the second half
of 2015.

for the years 2014-2020 sets a vision and
