The fall social program date is now Saturday, November 8th from 7 – 10 pm in the
GLS/HDV Center.
3.0 – Fall Social Program Discussion
Lloyd Ippolito informed the committee that the last two years of the program was Walt
Disney Brook; there was food, photo booth, mickey ears, karaoke, and Disney games.
There were 59 attendees.
The question was posed as to whether we wanted to change the program idea.
A Harry Potter theme (PotterBrook) was proposed.
A review was done of the deficiencies of past social programming events:
 More advertising needed. The committee will look into under door flyers (land
whether it is allowed. Last year reaources used included listservs, the SCALA
TVs in the residence halls and around campus, and Facebook.
Lloyd Ippolito stated the committee will split in two next time, inside (what’s happening
during event) and outside (advertising). He will email the committee split.
The following ideas were also proposed in response to the idea of PotterBrook.
 Collaboration with Dumbledore’s Army (club on campus); or the quidditch team.
 Party city for decorations
 Making "Potions": could be mocktails, collaboration with ACS suggested


Not too much collaboration: Dumbledore’s Army is suggested as best of
mentioned.
Make Triwizard Tournament/House Cup battle (we would do it by quads)
Rheanne Levy, as an undergraduate fellow, stated that this could be advertised during
Freshman Seminar 101 classes.
The following contingency ideas were also proposed: Disney and/or Pixar
4.0 – Open Agenda
Lloyd Ippolito mentioned that the position of the Committee Ad-Hoc is accepting
applications. He will email the committee about this opportunity.
Lloyd Ippolito mentioned there are opening on external committee through USG. Those
interested should review the USG website.
Lloyd Ippolito mentioned there is one opening on the Transportation and Parking
Advisory Group for an RHA General Body member. The meetings are on select
Wednesdays from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm in SAC 304.
There being no further business the meeting was called to close.
Meeting adjourned at 9:50 pm.
