Our expirience in accreditation processes

From 2013 until the 31th Mart 2017
enrolled:

27 HEIs in the State Register of
accredited HEIs in BiH
(20 universities and 7 colleges),
Pilot accreditation of:
• 33 SPs of the I and II cycle of studies at
public universities in BiH within the
ESABiH Project during 2011-2012
•
8 SPs of the III cycle of studies at public
universities in BiH within the EQADE
Project during 2014
•

Really accreditation of SP not yet start
In acad. 2014/15 was 1585 SPs on 44 HEIs
5 HEIs is still in the procedure

Our preparation for program accreditation
•
„Only accredited HEIs can apply for accreditation of SP”
•
Criteria for accreditation of SPs have been developed within the Tempus ESABIH and EQADE
projects,
•
Criteria for accreditation of SP entered into force at the beginning of 2013.
•
However, since accreditation of SP in BiH wasn’t realized yet, those Criteria were never used.
•
Due to the revision of the ESG, Criteria for SP accreditation were also revised, went through a
public consultation procedure, and finally adopted by the SB of the Agency, 16th February 2017.
Criteria will enter into force after publishing in the Official Gazette BiH

HEIs have to prove the ability to independently assure and improve the quality of their SPs.

Who proposing or selects samples of SPs: HEIs or Committie of experts? How many samples of SPs?
•
In the case of a positive decision on the accreditation of quality management system all study
programs are considered to be accredited. In a case of a negative decision?

Specific criteria and procedures for system accreditation.
