1. MARMOT HIGHLIGHTS WINTER 2014
In 2014 Marmot celebrates its 40th birthday. For four decades, we have put our hearts and
souls into developing high-end technical clothing and equipment for professional alpinists,
adventurers and outdoor fans. So it makes perfect sense, in this special anniversary year, for
us to push the boundaries of outdoor innovation even further!
Marmot’s MOUNTAIN PRO series encompasses technical, functional styles in the Shell,
Insulated and Next to Skin product categories and is made for professional alpinists and
extreme mountaineers who demand the highest standards of comfort and performance from
their clothing. Together with our partner Polartec® we have developed a range of
exceptionally breathable, air permeable, ultra high performance garments. Our TRP System
ensures optimum wear comfort and comfortable climate regulation even during high-output
activities or sports where there are frequent changes of intensity (i.e. periods of activity
followed by rest periods) such as ski touring or ice climbing. TRP stands for Transport /
Regulate / Protect and the focus here is on breathable, air permeable, moisture regulating
styles that guarantee optimum wear comfort and maximum performance.

2. ABOUT MARMOT
Since 1974, Marmot has manufactured performance clothing and equipment of the highest
quality for lovers of the outdoors, mountain sports enthusiasts and extreme alpinists. From its
humble beginnings as a climbing club for active university students in America, Marmot has
lived and breathed its passion for outdoor sports. From the very start, the aim has been to
produce the best outdoor clothing and equipment in the world.
Marmot’s first products were a down vest, a down pullover, a down parka and a down
sleeping bag. Within two years of putting together its first product range, Marmot started to
collaborate with GORE-TEX®. This makes Marmot the longest standing of GORE-TEX®’s
partners in the outdoor industry.
In 1983, Marmot yet again set a new benchmark in extreme technical clothing with its Alpinist
expedition jacket and, by doing so, simultaneously created a real classic that continues to be
extremely popular even today. In addition Marmot has ceaselessly developed its own fabrics
and materials, for example, the extremely high-performance, waterproof and breathable
Marmot MemBrain® and the brand new, extremely breathable and waterproof Marmot
NanoProTM
More than ever, we seek inspiration from professional mountain guides and athletes like
Stefan Glowacz to develop products that are capable of withstanding the rigors of nature.
3. MOUNTAIN PRO
Marmot’s MOUNTAIN PRO series encompasses technical, functional styles in the Shell,

Women’s Alpinist Jacket
Following a full revamp in the technology and wear comfort departments, the Women’s
Alpinist Jacket is even more professional and high performance than ever. The new triplelayer GORE-TEX® Pro Generation is even more robust and breathable and is capable of
coping with the most extreme challenges and conditions. The jacket is equipped with a storm
hood with laminated visor, multiple zipped pockets and a DriClime® lined chin guard. The
jacket is specifically tailored to suit the female anatomy.

Misto Jacket / Misto Pant
The Misto Jacket and Misto Pant are two multi-talented, high-tech softshell pieces that are
engineered to perform during intense, sweat-inducing activities. The waterproof Polartec®
NeoShell® fabric on the shoulders and hood protects these particularly exposed areas from
the wet, while Power Shield® on the torso and sleeves ensures excellent breathability. The
Polartec® Alpha insulation in the front section of the jacket delivers effective thermal
regulation while allowing air to circulate freely, thus preventing localized heat build-up.The

Misto is loaded with functional features – including a two-way zipper, various useful pockets
and a media port – and has a distinctive sporty cut.
The Misto Pant also uses waterproof NeoShell® to protect exposed areas and Power
Shield® inserts ensure good air circulation. The pant also has full-length, waterproof zips,
detachable suspenders, articulated knees and integrated gaiters.

First Light Pant
Made for freezing cold days out in the snow and ice, the First Light Pant incorporates highperformance thermal rTM synthetic insulation for perfect warmth, teamed with an ultra-light
Pertex® Microlight shell fabric that is abrasion resistant and robust. Special features include
full-length side zips, detachable suspenders, articulated legs and Cordura® scuff guards.

Megawatt Jacket
Wearable central heating! The Megawatt Jacket incorporates a sophisticated mix of high-end
insulation materials – Polartec® Alpha® next to the body and 800 goose down as second
insulation layer – that delivers superb warmth while ensuring constant air circulation and thus
preventing localized heat build-up. The insulating fill is encapsulated in an ultra-lightweight
yet very robust Pertex® shell fabric, while the Down Defender Technology protects the down
and ensures full lofting capability. The Megawatt is ideal for mountain use and makes a great
belay jacket or freeride jacket on extremely cold days.

Thermo Kinetic Jacket
The Thermo Kinetic Jacket employs an ingenious mix of high-tech fabrics to redefine and
revolutionize the mid-layer concept. Polartec® Power Stretch® High Loft on the front of the
jacket ensures maximum thermal efficiency in icy-cold conditions, Power Dry® inserts in the
underarm region guarantee excellent moisture dissipation and Power Shield® on the sleeves

Climate regulation perfected! The brand new Thermo Stretch Hoody employs a clever mix of

build-up within the fabric. The hood is equipped with additional ventilation inserts.

The Thermo Flare Jacket is a high performance insulation layer made from innovative

Randonnee Jacket / Randonnee Pant
The Randonnee Jacket and Randonnee Pant are the revival of a classic Marmot outfit, a
classic that has been revamped and redeveloped using the latest technology. The high
performance, triple-layer GORE-TEX® shell fabric provides protection from the elements,
while the hood, integrated powder skirt and multiple pockets deliver full-bore functionality.
The pant features full-length side zips, adjustable suspenders, integrated gaiters and
Cordura® scuff guards. Both the jacket and pant are made from a soft, light, stretchy fabric
that has a really great feel. They can be zipped together using a special zip-in gasket, to give
the ultimate in protection and wear comfort for freeriding in the powder.

Women’s Catapult Jacket / Women’s Freerider Pant
Passionate female freeriders will love the Catapult Jacket and Freerider Pant combo! The
GORE-TEX® shell fabric provides reliable protection from the elements and is breathable,
too, and the soft, light, stretchy fabric of the Catapult has a great feel to it. The jacket comes
with a helmet compatible storm hood, a high zipped collar, zipped air vents, plenty of pockets
and a zip-out powder skirt. The pant incorporates synthetic insulation and air vents that can
be opened to cool you down on the ascent. Further details include integrated gaiters,
articulated knees and Cordura® scuff guards. A zip-in gasket can be used to join the two
garments together.

Zurich Parka
Elegance and functionality in perfect harmony. The Zurich Parka is the ideal bad weather
companion for city and travel use. The MemBrain® shell fabric is waterproof and breathable,
and the 700 down fill keeps you warm, even in icy cold temperatures. The high wool content
and knitted lining on the collar and cuffs make it super comfortable to wear. Because of its
slightly longer style, the Zurich fits perfectly over a blazer.

Women’s Toronto Jacket
The cold is no match for the elegant Toronto jacket! The down fill radiates warmth even in icy
cold temperatures. The hood, the plush fleece-lined torso and fleece-lined cuffs all provide a
wonderfully snug fit. And because the down has Down Defender Technology, it is very robust
and easy-care.

Southside Flannel
The Southside Flannel’s youthful charm and great wear characteristics make it a popular

powder skirt and a goggles pocket. The pant has articulated knees and integrated gaiters.

Girl’s Skylark Jacket / Girl’s Skylark Pant

The Cataclysm is a versatile glove with outstanding breathability and external seams for

The Jib Session Glove is all about dexterity. Its soft, water repellent neoprene fabric provides

tools from slipping.
