Lasalle Recreational Hockey League 2016-2017
Welcome back to the LRHL!
This is one of the longest-standing leagues in the area for recreational hockey. We pride ourselves
on providing an atmosphere conducive to good hockey and good times. Please remember that the guy
you don’t like on the other team will probably be sitting next to you in the room next season, so stay
cool. It is a non-contact league, so avoid contact, including with the goalies.
For those that didn’t get in full time this year, take heart - there will be lots of ice this year. Spares are a
big part of our league, and are always welcome at all of our league get-togethers (Sundays, Xmas, year
end).
Fees - full payment on the first night is $390. If you prefer the two-pay method, it’s $210 on the first
night and a post-dated cheque for Dec. 1 for $200. Cheques are preferred, but we will accept cash.
Game times - 7:30, 8:45 and 10:00 pm on both rinks. Each week, all Senior games will run on one rink,
and all Junior games on the other. We will alternate rinks each week.
We are not playing October 9th, December 25th, and January 1st. We will be playing Superbowl Sunday
(Feb. 5th) at Central Park Athletics in the morning, like we did last year. Also, on March 12th, the first
week of March break, playoffs will be suspended and we will instead have a Junior/Senior crossover
night.
The jerseys are property of the LRHL, and are to be worn on Sunday nights ONLY. Please take care of
your jersey (hang it up, and occasionally wash it inside out in cold water and hang to dry). You will get a
pair of socks that are yours to keep.
Playoffs - in each division there will be a 10-week double round robin, with Finals night March 26, 2017.
If you can’t make a skate – you must call/tell your team rep before Sunday so a spare can be brought in.
If you don’t notify your rep and you don’t show, you will be charged the $15 that we would have
otherwise collected from a spare. If you don’t pay, you will be suspended until it’s paid. We can’t make
that any clearer. The intent is that we have full rosters each week without scrambling to get there on
Sunday, so please respect your team rep’s time and make the call for a spare before Sunday.
Discipline – we have formalized a 3-strike discipline policy. Please read it on the homepage.
Arena rules must be followed.
