Please find below the details of the Warrington PE and School Sport SLA for 2016/17. Thank you to
all those who found time in their busy schedules to respond to our recent questionnaire – we really
appreciate the feedback you have given and have tried to respond to your comments in compiling
this year’s offer. However, we are also aware that one size does not fit all and so are very willing to
have individual discussions if you would like a change to the offer that you feel would suit your
school better.

Each organisation takes the responsibility for different areas of the offer but have a joint reference
group which meets at least three times a year to whom the group is responsible as well as to the
leadership within their own organisations. The neighbourhood groups within Warrington are
currently represented by the following Primary Head Teachers:

*NB: all schools are entitled to free access to the School Games. However, in addition, Warrington School
Sports Partnership (WaSSP) offer additional competitive and participation opportunities for member schools as
well as certificates, medals and trophies, the hiring of quality facilities and access to specialist equipment eg:
bikes.
In addition, member schools will have first access to any successful funding bids and opportunities as they
arise.
WaSSP are presently seeking coordinators to improve access to Cluster competitions across Warrington
making the most of Secondary Schools PE Facilities and Leaders with competitions feeding into the Level 2
Finals on our Competition Calendar. This will be available at an additional cost.
