We Kicked Out President Edgard
On the evening of June 29, 2017 the El Centro Rotary held their annual “Kickout
Dinner,” Rotarians gathered at the El Centro PAL Facility for a dinner of Chicken,
salad, veggies and cake. The Meeting was conducted by Past President Ron Griffen
who called on Past President Frank to lead the Pledge and himself to offer the prayer, Past President Randy Miles along with his table group led the club members in a
rousing version of “God Bless America.”
Dan Nuffer was called on to give his yearly “Roast” of the outgoing President. He
shared that Edgard although being very “bright” he never graduated from High
School. He took the GDE and then “went back to school where he studied being
incorrigible. He graduated from College and then entered Law School in San Diego.
After he passed the bar he wanted to find a small, friendly community where he
could set up his practice and raise his family,
that brought him and
his wife Ari and sons
to El Centro.
The
meeting was turned
over to the “Rotary
Players” to perform
their skit. The players included: Bobby
Brock, Gabe Contreras, Emma Jones,
Randy Miles, Frank
Miranda, Derek Quan,
Kris Becker and Edgar
Garcia.
The
Gavel
was
Passed to Kris and she
said her theme would
center around being a
lawyer.
