Happy February 15. Old man winter is starting to lose his punch and
longer warmer days are coming. Our first show, March 4 and 5 is
coming quickly. Entries are due to Cathy Carpenter by 8:00 pm on
Tuesday, February 28. Our show will be at CSI and will start at 8:30
a.m. each day. Our entry fees this year are $65 per class.
Our second show will be April 1 and 2 at Triple H Arena (Crest Hughes’)
in Filer at 8:30 a.m. each day.
The class order will remain the same for this year. Saturday’s class
order is: Open, Youth, Non-Pro, 5,000 Novice Horse, 15,000 Non-Pro,
Colts, 2,000 Limited Rider, and 1,000 Novice Horse. Sunday’s order is:
500 Limited Rider, 500 Novice Horse/Novice Rider, Open Ranch, NonPro Ranch, 500 Novice Horse/Novice Rider Ranch, 250 Novice Horse,
and 250 Novice Horse/Novice Rider. The rules and qualifications for
these classes are listed in the show rules on our website. If you have
any questions, please be sure to check out the rules or contact a
director to make sure you and your horse qualify for a specific class.
The board has approved some guidelines to help both exhibitors and
judges in the ranch horse classes. The guidelines are attached and can
also be found on the website.
