WHAT IS THE PROJECT ?
The Youth Exchange “We Aim at Living in Kommunity (WALK)” brings together young
people of all profiles, from 2 different countries and 4 different areas (islands and
mainlands). WALK is a project about religion and secularism and how it is ruled in our
different countries. The aim is to give the voice to participants to discuss,
understand and spread their reflexion by creating in-street social experiments and
promote behavior change using different non-formal learning methods - learning from
experience, living and working together with young people from other countries and
cultures in a different place.
Activities: Reflexion about tolerance and diversity, discovering what is secularism,
creative workshops, theatre, film shooting.
Language : Activities will be in english, to enhance language practice. Trainers and
group leaders should speak english fluenty to help communication.
SOME OBJECTIVES OF THE YOUTH EXCHANGE
1. Dialogue, debate and exchange on the question of religions and secularism
2. Organize collectively one or more public social actions and edit a video with
reaction of participants
3. Strengthen the relational skills of participants

20 Participants + 1 accompanying person + 2 trainers
4+1 for France’s mainland
4+1 for France’s island + 1 special need accompaning person
Profile : We aim at involving participants from all profiles between 13 and 30 years old,
especially participants with disability as we are including 1 supporting person. It is not
necessary to speak english. Please note that CSJC has 2 rooms to host participants with
wheelchair. We give a priority to the mixity of local communities.
Info about accompanying person : 1000€ on bill for the whole project.
It is important to let us know very early for participants
in wheelchairs as we have only 2 rooms !
Price and refund
- Participation is 15€ and is to be payed in cash on arrival to the project - Travelling costs are paid by CSJC up to 180€ for participants from Mainland.
About coordinator CSJC :
The CSJC has a strong position in the field of youth, sport and cultural development of
the island, especially with the organisation of actions about various topics regarding all
publics.
There are four main missions that the CSJC works on :
- An issue of social utility
- A sporting challenge
- An issue of public service
- A challenge for sustainable development:
- For a few years now, the establishment is developping the island
internationnaly.
