On June 18th, Wildwood Blackjack Tournament will be held at 1 p.m. Registration will begin at 10 a.m.
and close at 12:45, and be limited to a minimum of 16 players with a maximum of 78 players.
The tournament buy-in will be $50.00 for each flight entered. Players may re-buy to each of the second
and third flights provided they do not qualify in an earlier flight. $40.00 will go to the prize pool, $5 for
an entry fee, and $5 for a dealer bonus. Buy-ins will be collected at the time of registration. Collection
procedures will be in accordance with the Colorado Gaming ICMP’s. If the minimum numbers of players
for the either the opening of the tournament or a particular flight is not met, the tournament buy-ins
will be returned to the registered players.
Each tournament flight will be limited to 26 players. There will be a maximum of 3 flights. The first flight
will begin after 26 players have enrolled, and registration will begin on a second flight. A flight must
have 16 players to begin play, if at least 16 players sign up for a particular flight they will be split with a
random seat draw amongst 4 tables. After the round has concluded, the players with the top two
highest chip stacks at each table will advance in the tournament.
In the event there are enough seats purchased to have one opening flight there will be a semi-final
round consisting of 8 players qualifying from the opening flight and 4 wild card qualifiers. The players in
the semi-final will draw for random seating between 2 tables. At the conclusion of the round the players
with the top three highest chip stacks at each table will advance to the final table.
In the event enough seats are purchased to start a second flight of the tournament there will be a
quarterfinal round consisting of 16 qualifiers from the opening two flights and 4 wild card qualifiers.
Players will draw for random seating between four tables. At the conclusion of the round the players
with the top two highest chip stacks at each table will advance to the semi-final round. The semi-final
round will run in the same manner as the one flight tournament semi-final.
In the event enough seats are purchased to start a third flight of the tournament there will be a quarterfinal round consisting of 24 qualifiers from the opening three flights and 2 wild card qualifiers. Players
will draw for random seating between four tables. At the conclusion of the round the players with the
two highest chip stacks at each table will advance to the semi-final round. The semi-final round will run
in the same manner as the one flight tournament semi-final.
Wild card seats will be drawn from the players that have been eliminated.
All players will receive 2,000 in tournament value chips at the beginning of each round. There will be a
random draw by the players prior to each round to determine seat assignment. Players must check-in
with the tournament director prior to the start of each round to draw for seat assignment. If a player is
not seated by the time the first hand is dealt for that round his/her chips will be forfeited.
A rotating button will be used to indicate the first playing position at the table. Each hand shall begin
with the player who has the button. The button shall be moved one position, clockwise around the
table, by the dealer, after each hand.
The minimum bet for each round of play will be 25.
Players are eliminated from the tournament when they lose all their chips, or when they have too few
chips remaining to be able to place a required wager.
The final table will consist of 7 players, six semi-final qualifiers and one wild card, each player will start
with 2,000 in tournament chips and the round will be 21 hands. First thru seventh place will be
determined by the order in which the players are eliminated followed by chip stack counts at the
conclusion of the round. If two players are eliminated on the same hand their placement will be
determined by the number of chips they wagered on their last hand. In the result of a tie at a final chip
count dealer will burn one card then deal one card to each player for a high card face-off. Suits will play
in situation (spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs).
Tournament payouts will be as follows:
(1)40% of the prize pool
(2)25% of the prize pool
(3)15% of the prize pool
(4)10% of the prize pool
(5)5% of the prize pool
(6)3% of the prize pool
(7)2% of the prize pool
Each player shall be permitted to play only one hand.
Each player may only have one entry in each of the quarter-final, semi-final, and final rounds.
Blackjacks will be paid 2 to 1. Double downs will be dealt face up.
Cards will be changed at a minimum of 2 hours of continuous play.
No player may allow a person to sit on a tournament game on the player’s behalf. No player may wager
on another player’s hand, nor may any player play on another player’s hand.
Only tournament chips on the table at the start of a game may be played. Chips must be kept in full view
of other players. Concealed chips may not be used in play.
A player may assemble chips in front of the player before acting. A player shall be considered to have
made a bet if the player if the player pushes assembled chips forward onto the player’s betting area and
has removed his hand from the chips.
A hand gesture made indicating the player’s intent is binding upon that player. If a player faults a
dealer’s action because it was different than the action intended by the player, the floor supervisor or
tournament director shall resolve the dispute.
Management reserves the right to cancel any event without notice.
Except as changed by these tournament rules, tournament play shall follow the house rules of
Wildwood Casino.
