Someone Needs to Be A
Basketball manager
By: Evan Triesenberg Job: Basketball manager
Introduction
I really like the job to be a basketball manager. The reason I like the job to
be a basketball manager so far is because I love the sport of basketball and I
especially love managing a basketball team. I also like managing basketball is
because I like seeing a basketball team win because of what I showed them
during the practices. The last reason I want to be a basketball manager is
because people would look up to me and I will be a leader for the basketball
teams.
What they do
•
As a basketball manager I have to warm basketball players up for practices
or even sometimes before games. I also help manage the team by who is the
teams starting lineup and backup lineup and who or always 3rd string. I help
out with managing the team that I work for. I also manage the basketball
team by training my teams players for whenever we have basketball games or
basketball practices so we can learn plays to make our team win more games.
Training and Education
•
Some universities offer bachelors or masters programs in sports
management. You have to have serval years of experience working on the
courts and telling and teaching basketball players what to do and how they
do the play I just taught them.
Work Environment
• As a sports manager I would be working outside and warming basketball
players up before games. I would be wearing short sleeves and long pants.
• I would also be sometimes wearing a very nice suit before I go to my teams
basketball games.
Salary
• As a sports manager you would get paid $44.99 an hour and get 93,580 a
year but if you work with the workforce you get $1,807,000 a year which is A
LOT of money.
Job Outlook
•
My Job Outlook is stable. I have a 17% chance to make the job so that
would not be a very good chance of making the job because you have to
start out to manage a small collage team then I will work my up to be an
OUTSTANDING NBA manager.
Growth Opportunities
I think I will grow into this job well because, I am good at sports and I am
also really good at remembering players names so at the end of the game I can
shout out the players name if he did something good.
Conclusion
•
I learned that it will be EXTREMELY hard to be a basketball manager. I
would still want to be a basketball manager because I will be willing to put
my time and effort to try that best I can to be a sports manager! I decided to
stay with managing basketball because I enjoy seeing teams work together,
having fun, and winning so they don’t have to get down about themselves.
The last reason I will stay being a basketball manager is because I people
looking up to me and when I tell them a good play they do they will say
‘thanks’.
