2016 Greenbuild Passport to Prizes Game
Official Rules
Eligibility. The Greenbuild Passport to Prizes Game (the “Game”) is open to attendees at the 2016 Greenbuild International
Conference and Expo (the “Conference”). There is no purchase necessary to enter or claim a prize. Employees of Informa
Exhibitions and U.S. Green Building Council, Inc. (collectively “Sponsor”), as well as members of the immediate family or
household of those employees, are not eligible to enter or win any prize in the Game. Likewise, employees of any participating
exhibitors who are sponsoring the Game, or any members of the immediate family or household of such employees, are not
eligible to enter or win any prize in the Game. The Game is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws
and regulations. Individuals must be at least 18 years of age to enter.
Game Period. The Game begins on October 5, 2016 at 10 A.M. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends on October 6, 2016 at 5 P.M.
PT (the “Game Period”). The Sponsor’s database computer is the official time-keeping device for the Game. By participating
in the Game, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules.
How To Enter. Visit all of the participating exhibitor booths during normal exhibit hall hours to have your passport stamped.
After collecting stamps from all participating exhibitors, you must drop your completed passport in the drawing drum located
inside Booth 343 within The Los Angeles Convention Center in Exhibit Hall G before the end of the Game Period. Incomplete
passport entries will result in disqualification. Limit one (1) entry per person.
Drawing and Winner Notification. The winner(s) of the Game will be randomly selected during drawings from all eligible
passport entries received throughout the Game Period. The drawings will be conducted on or about 5:30 PM on October 6,
2016 at the Expo Hall Stage. All winners must be physically present at the drawing in order to claim their prize. By entering,
you agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and all decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all
matters relating to the Game.
Prizes. The following list of prizes will be issued to winners in no particular order: IPads ~ $541.21 each, IPad Mini ~ $432.99
each, Apple Watch ~ $349 each, Bose Soundlink ~$216.46 each, $10,000 grand prize paid by check or electronic transfer after
the event and before 11/1/16. Prize winner must provide a W-9/1099 or WBEN along with a copy of a valid driver’s license or
other government issued ID. Each prize will be announced before the winning game card is drawn. Odds of winning dependent
on number of entries. Prizes are not redeemable for cash and no cash alternative, prize substitution, or prize transfer will be
allowed. Prize winners, both domestic and international, are responsible for all taxes on any prize received.
Release of Liability. By participating in the Game you release Sponsor, and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, partners,
employees, directors, and agents, including advertising agencies, from any and against any and all injury, loss or damage
caused or claimed to be caused by your participation in the Game and/or the acceptance, awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse
of any prize, and you release Sponsor, and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, employees and agents, and all
others associated with the development and execution of this Game from any such liability and agree that these entities are in
no matter responsible for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the
Game and/or the awarding of any prize. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event that the preceding release is determined
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or void for any reason, the entrant agrees that, by entering the Game: i) any
and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Game, or any prizes awarded, shall be
resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; ii) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual
out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Game, if any, but in no event attorney’s fees; and iii)
under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim,
punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and
any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses.
Additional Rules: Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. No mechanically reproduced entries are
eligible. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or illegible entries. Failure to comply with these official
rules may result in disqualification from the Game. Sponsor reserves the right to: i) permanently disqualify from any Game it
sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these official rules; and ii) to suspend, modify or terminate the Game
if Sponsor believes, in its sole discretion, that malfunction, error, disruption or damage is impairing or will impair the
administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Game. If the Game Period is terminated early, Sponsor will
determine the winner from all eligible entries received as of the termination. Entry constitutes consent to the use of prize
winner's name, voice, picture and/or likeness without compensation for promotion purposes to the extent allowed by law.
LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE, DESTROY,
TAMPER OR VANDALIZE, OR INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE GAME, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS
AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH
INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
