Fit and Fun takes place at UMass Lowell south campus in Weed Hall
(building number 6 on the map below) in room 312.
Traveling North on Route 3:
Take exit 30B to the Lowell Connector and follow the directions below.
Traveling South on Route 3:
Take exit 30A for I-495 North. Immediately take exit 35C for the Lowell
Connector. Follow the directions below.
Traveling on I-495 North or South:
Take exit 35C to the Lowell Connector. Follow the directions below.
From the Lowell Connector:
Take the first exit (Exit 3) off the Lowell Connector to Industrial Avenue. Go right
at the stop sign at the end of the off ramp and proceed to the rotary. Take the
first right off of the rotary onto Industrial Avenue. The first traffic light is at the
intersection with Chelmsford Street (Route 110). Proceed straight across.
Industrial Avenue becomes Stevens Street at this intersection.
Follow Stevens Street for approximately 1.5 miles until it ends. Take a right at the
David Chandler Sq. sign onto Middlesex Street. Take the first left at the blinking
light onto Wilder Street. Proceed on Wilder and make a left at the light at the
intersection with Broadway. Go passed the bus stop on your right and turn right
at the pedestrian crossing. You will go past a small attendant booth (although at
that time of day no-one will be in there) and you will see handicapped parking
and visitor’s spots on your left and right hand side. In the early evening these
spots are opened up so anyone can park there. On the map this parking area is
outside Dugan and Weed Hall (building numbers 7 and 6). From there go to room
312 in Weed Hall (building 6 on the map).
However, if there are no spaces available here (which sometimes there aren’t) go
back out on to Broadway Street (i.e. make a left after you pass the attendant
parking booth). At the light which intersects with Wilder, turn left. You will
immediately see a parking lot on your right hand side. Visitors parking is to the
left as you go in (this parking lot is on the corner of Broadway and Wilder but the
entrance is off Wilder). From there go to room 312 in Weed Hall (building 6 on
the map).
If this parking lot is also full the next closest lot is behind Coburn Hall (building
number 12 on the map). Go back down Wilder the way you came, through the
intersection with Broadway. You will soon see this parking lot on your right hand
side. After you have parked, you can exit this parking lot to the left side of Coburn
Hall as you are facing the back of Coburn (there is a narrow walkway there by
the side of building 14 on the map). This walkway joins a small road and you can
follow this back out on to Broadway, cross over the street, and continue passed
the parking attendant booth to Weed Hall. From there go to room 312 in Weed
Hall (building 6 on the map).
There is also a parking lot behind Mahoney Hall (building number 13 on the map)
which you access off Broadway. This parking lot is just as close at the Coburn
lot. From there go to room 312 in Weed Hall (building 6 on the map).
