Luke 18:18-30

“When Jesus heard this, he said to him, ‘You still
lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give
to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.
Then come, follow me.’ ”
“A certain ruler asked him, "Good teacher,
what must I do to inherit eternal life?" (18)
“Remember your Creator in the days of your
youth, before the days of trouble come and the
years approach when you will say, "I find no
pleasure in them"– (Ec 12:1)
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is
no other name under heaven given to men by
which we must be saved.” (Ac 4:12)
"28 Then they asked him, ‘What must we do to
do the works God requires?’ 29 Jesus
answered, "The work of God is this: to believe

his sight by observing the law; rather, through
the law we become conscious of sin.” (Ro 3:20)
“So the law was put in charge to lead us to
Christ that we might be justified by faith.

"No one can serve two masters. Either he will
hate the one and love the other, or he will be
devoted to the one and despise the other. You
cannot serve both God and Money. (Mt 6:24)
“When he heard this, he became very sad,
because he was a man of great wealth.” (23)
“ ‘Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go
through the eye of a needle than for a rich
man to enter the kingdom of God.’ Those
who heard this asked, ‘Who then can be
saved?’ Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible
with men is possible with God.’ ” (25-27)
"I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no
one who has left home or wife or brothers or
parents or children for the sake of the
kingdom of God will fail to receive many
times as much in this age and, in the age to
come, eternal life.” (29-30)
