Additionally all users remote must be connected to the corporate network through VPN in order for the script to work properly. PREPARE SHARED DRIVE LOCATION Ensure that each user has access to the shared location where you want to place the DeploymentPro Install File (Bootstrap.exe) CUSTOMIZE THE DEPLOYMENTPRO AGENT 1. Select the Group Policy Deployment option and determine if you want to send DeploymentPro emails as a backup. WRITE YOUR LOG ON SCRIPT Download DeploymentPro Agent and save to your Desktop www.bittitan.com Click the start menu and run cmd Run Bootstrap.exe/preinstall When the install is complete it will open up a windows explorer. Copy all of the files onto the shared location from step 2. www.bittitan.com Open up notepad and enter the following script \\sharednetworklocation\Bootstrap.exe activationcode ? Example:” \\sharednetworklocation\Bootstrap.exe UTB678I87TY ?” Note: make sure you include the ? at the end of the script as this is what triggers the LDAP lookup. The Activation Code can be found on any page of your UserActivation project. www.bittitan.com Select All Files as the type and Save as DeploymentPro.bat and place on the shared network location. Build log on script in Group Policy that runs the .bat file on when users log on. i. Open up Group Policy Management MMC and create a new Group Policy Object ii. Name the GPO “DeploymentPro” www.bittitan.com iii. Right Click and Edit the GPO iv. Navigate to User Configuration> Policies> Windows Settings > Scripts (Logon/Logoff). Click Logon and click Properties. www.bittitan.com v. Click “Add” and under “Script Name” browse to the DeploymentPro Batch File on the fileshare and click Open. vi. In the Group Policy Management Console Right click the OU of your choice and choose Link an Existing GPO. Minimize Editor and go back to GPO Management Console www.bittitan.com vii. Select the DeploymentPro GPO FINISH YOUR CUSTOMIZATIONS Go back to your DeploymentPro project and customize Email Template for DeploymentPro if you are choosing to send emails to the end user. This is not necessary to do with Group Policy deployment but it can be used as a backup in case the GP installation fails. www.bittitan.com If you are not sending emails make sure that the “Do not send DeploymentPro emails” checkbox is checked Choose a Password Policy Upload a logo and specify a tagline www.bittitan.com DEPLOY TRACK THE INSTALLATION Track progress in your Project Dashboard as each user logs on and DeploymentPro agents get installed CUTOVER Once your MX records have been pointed to Office 365 and confirmed in UserActivation we will automatically trigger each of the agents on the desktop to display the DeploymentPro Wizard that will automatically create a new Outlook profile for Office 365. Once Outlook reconfiguration is completed, check Project Dashboard for updates, such as: USER EXPERIENCE 1. After successful install, two POPUPS are displayed showing the Guardian running from the SysTray. Users cannot close but they can Open and see the Activation Code and/or Activation Code and login account name. www.bittitan.com Once the you click “Configure Outlook” in the Project Dashboard , the next time the Guardian checks for update, they see a Dialog Box instructing them to click NEXT www.bittitan.com www.bittitan.com 2. Once Outlook restarts, the users default profile will be the one we created for Office 365.
