Tournament is open to selected or invited players.
Participants must be Registered under their respective Associations.
Entry forms and fees to be lodged by Monday 03 July 2017
FORMAT OF PLAY
Singles – The first rounds will be played on round robin basis. Two
top players from each group progress to knockout stages. Round
Robin matches best of 5 games. Knockout stages best of 7 games.
Doubles – all knockout best of 5 games.

TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS
1. The tournament will be conducted by Mt Pritchard & District Community Club Ltd ("the Club").
2. The Club reserves the right to invite players to participate in the tournament, and to withdraw any
invitation at any time up until the commencement of the tournament.
3. The tournament will be held under ITTF Laws of Table Tennis and Regulations for International
Competitions and TTA Regulations for National Championships.
4. Balls: 3 star ITTF approved white 40 PLUS balls.
Tables: Blue ITTF approved tables.
5. Each match will be controlled by an umpire whose decision will be final with respect to the conduct
of any game.
6. Entry to the tournament is by invitation only. A player who is a registered financial member of an
affiliated State or Territory Association having ITTF Association, may apply for entry by completing
the application form. An invitation will be deemed to be issued when the applicants name is shown
on the official draw.
7. A refundable entry fee is to accompany the application form. The fee will be refunded in the event
that an invitation is not issued.
8. Format: Men & Women events 1 & 2
SINGLES:






Shall be divided into a qualification phase and knockout draw.
The qualification phase will be played under a group system of 4 players per group.
All qualifying matches will be best of five games.
The knock out draw will comprise the top 2 players from each group.
All knock out matches will be best of 7 games.
Australian/and or/ International Players will be seeded
DOUBLES:


All Doubles Events shall be knockout
All matches will be the best of 5 games.
9. A separate application will be required for each player.
10. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Club.
11. Players absent when required to play, may render themselves liable to disqualification.
12. Players Apparel:
a. Players must adhere to the dress regulations of the club at all times. Players should be neatly
dressed and not wear any clothing that may cause offence or bring the game into disrepute.
b. The main colour of a shirt, skirt or shorts must not be white.
c. Nominated doubles pairs must dress uniformly whilst playing.
13. All players to wear identification numbers (to be supplied) on rear of shirts, or display their name
(failure to comply with regulations 11 & 12 may subject the player to disqualification)
14. No claim will be recognised should any player receive an injury during participation in this event.
15. No gluing of rackets is permitted inside the playing venue.
16. A Management Committee will be appointed by the Club and carry out functions in terms of TTA
regulations. One of these functions is to consider any appeals against rulings of the host
organisation or the referee on a question of match or tournament conduct not covered in the Laws.

18. The club reserves the right to distribute prize money, as it sees fit.
