Coaches/Managers Responsibilities:1. Photo Sighting
The Coach/Manager is responsible to ensure
the sighting of the opposition team is
completed
Before the end of your game ensure that you
exchange photo cards with the opposing
team and tick only beside the players name
once you check the photo against the player.
INNER WEST MODIFIED RULES
Match Duration – 4 x 10 minute quarters
Goal Post –
If a player is not listed in the team they need
to be written on the score card. Please
ensure she is ticked.
2. Player rotation

Players must play all positions throughout
the season (sample player rotations can be
found under the NetSetGo tab on the
website)
Ball – Size 4
Time to pass the Ball – Up to 5 Seconds
Stepping – Shuffling on the spot to regain
balance allowed without moving down the
court.
Defending – Strict “one on one” defense.
Players may defend the shot at goal.
9 Years
Rotation is not compulsory however we
suggest that players are rotated within the
attack, centre court or defense areas to
ensure player development
Obstruction – A player must defend from a
distance no less than 1.2m (4 ft)
Scoring – Scores may be kept but no ladder
produced
These are the rules all umpires should
follow when umpiring a modified game.
All Coaches should teach players using
the Standard Netball Rules.

Encourage your players however don’t
