Instructions for Connecting to the Wireless Network

For game consoles, media
players, smart TVs, etc.
1. Search for available wireless networks
and connect to Ramapo-Open.
1. Search for available wireless networks and
connect to Ramapo-Secure.
2. Open your web browser and visit any
website (i.e: www.abc.com). You
should be redirected to the Ramapo
wireless portal page. Click the Faculty
/ Staff / Student button.
2. When prompted, input your Ramapo
username and password according to the
device instructions below:
NOTE: This only applies to those devices
which do not have the ability to connect to
the Ramapo-Secure wireless network. For
example, game consoles, media players,
smart TVs, etc. should connect to the
Ramapo-MultimediaDevices wireless
network. Laptops and smartphones should
use the Ramapo-Secure wireless network
to get Internet access.
3. Follow the instructions provided by
downloading the SecureW2
application to get configured.
4. When prompted, input your Ramapo
username and password. After
successful authentication, you should
now be connected to the RamapoSecure wireless network.
a. Android: Input your username in the
Identity field and your password in
the Password field then click Connect.
b. iPhone / iPad:
i. Input your username in the
Username field and your
password in the Password
field then click Join.
ii. Click Accept to install the
certificate.
3. After successful authentication, you should
now be connected to the Ramapo-Secure
wireless network.
1. Go to
http://resnet.ramapo.edu/register
and follow the instructions provided.
2. After successful registration, reboot
the registered device then search for
wireless networks and connect to
Ramapo-MultimediaDevices.
3. You should now have access to the
Internet.
