We are not sure yet on a replacement but we will keep everyone

Not long now until the toddler playground is released. If you haven't

Just to give you all a heads up, there will be a price increase soon

We will soon be putting in a kitchen!
After much planning and discussion we have decided that we will be
putting in a kitchen. It is something that has been asked for on many
occasions by our families. We were hoping for September but as we are
still waiting for everything to pass through Cockburn Council.
You will all be notified formally on the finer details shortly

Simone’s News…
Hello to all of our wonderful Families. Over half way through the year. I
can’t believe how fast time is going. My little girl turned one last week.
We had such fun celebrating, but I sure was exhausted by the end of it
all! I decided to throw a big party and make the biggest, prettiest cake I
could find! Not sure I will do that to myself again! Hehe but all was
worth it! Our Toddler’s Yard Play ground is almost complete! Yay! My
husband will be very glad when it is all done, he will love to have a
weekend off working at day care. I have had him there slaving away every weekend for the last couple of months, desperate to have it finished!
Our Centre is looking beautiful and our children are always happy and
busy playing and learning in our amazing natural environment.
I am busy Managing my Fremantle Centre at the moment so am popping
in and out of Bibra Lake when I can. If you would like to meet me or
catch up for a chat about anything at all, please don’t hesitate to email
me and we can arrange a time. I would love to get to know you all more!
I am always striving to provide the highest quality of care to your children. Building strong relationships and communicating with families is
most definitely the foundation for this.
Water Wise Tips
Wash only full loads of laundry and dishes and save

What’s new in your child’s room
News from Sapphires (Babies)…
Hello Sapphire Families.
What a wonderful start to the year we have had, time has flown!
We have continued on building friendships with all our friends, said goodbye to some of our babies that have begun their transitions into the diamonds room. Fletcher, Jobe, Ruby and Avery, big congratulations to you all! We have had the pleasure of watching
Fletcher and Ruby from such a young age, now along with Jobe and Avery they are beginning a new and exciting chapter.
We have been very busy in the Sapphires room, welcoming new friends, learning their routines and having the pleasure of building
friendships.
We had a strong interest for dinosaurs in July, this interest came from Jobe, this allowed us to extend on dinosaurs in the sapphires
room and create a dinosaur land that had life size dinosaurs. All our friends grew fond of this interest and loved interacting and
talking to the dinosaurs.
We have now been concentrating on our alphabet, lots of our friends have been practicing their alphabet at home and at Treasured
Tots we have been reading and pointing to letters, this has given us the idea to create a big alphabet wall that consists of painted
and collaged letters from the children and educators. Having the letters on display will allow us to continue to learn our alphabet in
a fun and new way.
Kayla is sadly leaving us soon, her last day is Tuesday the 25th, Megan is still organising who will be relacing her but we look foreword to welcoming a new face with some fresh ideas.
I look forward to the rest of the year with all of our special little friends, we will continue to love and care for your children and look
forward to watching them all grow. Please remember to come and have a chat to us if you have any questions or worries.
Love Anna and Kayla
News from Diamonds (Toddlers)...
Hello Everyone,
First of all I would like to say hello to all the new families in the Diamonds Room. Bree and I have really enjoyed welcoming you and
your children into our room. We have loved getting to know all the wonderful new toddlers, the transitioning process went well and
they have all fit perfectly into our room.
I would also like to say goodbye to the toddler’s families that have recently moved into the kindy room. Thank you for all of your
support while your children were in our room, it has been great to see them in the new room and transform into the big sparkles
room.
The toddlers have recently been enjoying watching all the work going on outside of our room. If you didn’t already know, our playground is currently being transformed and we are all very eager to get out there and play and explore.
The toddlers have also been very interested in colours at the moment. We have been seeing lots of rainbows outside after the rain
which has extended onto doing lots of rainbow paintings. We have also been doing colour flashcards at mat sessions which the children love.
We have had lots of fun with our special friend “Crocke the Crocodile” he likes to come out when all the toddlers have been very
good at packing away. He joins us to read stories and has even been sitting with us to eat lunch.
Lots of the toddlers are currently toilet training so if you want to start your child please let us know. Since we are coming into
warmer weather please don’t forget to pack a hat and a water bottle for your child J
Thank you again for all being so great and sending your wonderful children to us.
Jaime and Bree
News from Sparkles (Kindy)…
What a great start we have had to term three! We have welcomed some new children to our room, some of them graduating up from the toddler
room, and they are all settling in really well to our routine. A big welcome to: Archie, Bentley, Daisy, Dean, Harry D, Harry W, Isla H., Isla K.,
Ivy, Kody, Maya, Paisley, and Sienna and their families—we hope you really enjoy being in the Sparkles’ room!
Last term, we explored many topics, including transport, construction, space and cultural days of importance such as NAIDOC week, as these
have been the children’s interests. The children have shown a great deal of interest in bugs and the outdoor world, through digging for worms in
the garden beds outside, and looking at ladybugs, stinkbugs and other things they have found outside. To extend on this interest we have begun
exploring this as an interest topic—last week we looked at worms and the children really enjoyed looking at the real worms we have found and are
looking after in the tank in our room, many of them wanting to hold them in their hands. We also made ‘worm pictures’ using cooked spaghetti
and brown paint—the children enjoyed squishing the spaghetti in their hands and then making prints with it onto their paper, saying that it felt
‘cold and gooey,’ or it felt like ‘goo’ or ‘yucky’. We will be looking at other bugs and insects such as caterpillars, butterflies, ladybugs etc. for the
next week or so before moving on to another interest topic.
As a class, we are also moving onto some literacy and numeracy experiences during mat sessions, such as looking at and learning some alphabet
sounds, counting and numbers and writing some of our letters in our literacy centre. The children have also been learning some of our shapes and
colours, engaging in shape stamping and sorting, and colour games and sorting on the mat.
Quite a few of the children have shown an interest in showing and telling news through bringing in photos of their holidays, or something special
to them, so we will begin making some time during our mat sessions for them to show them to their friends. If your child wishes to bring in
something in to show or talk about please let one of the room educators know and we will make time for this in our program.
Just a reminder as the weather will be warming again soon to please make sure your child has a labelled hat and waterbottle and sunscreen applied before coming to the centre. Also please make sure you approach one of the room educators if you have any concerns about your child, or
ideas you wish to input into our
program.
Kind regards,
Tania, Hakja and Martina

How time fly’s, over half the year has gone already!
Our school holidays were fun as always and the children from all different schools enjoyed playing together over the several weeks. Movie day was good as usual the children enjoyed watching Rio 2 and eating popcorn., especially with the weather over the
break.
As one of our activities we made recycled paper. We spread it over a couple of days,
give most children the chance to have a go. One day the children ripped up the paper
and added water to their bucket to help breakdown the paper. On the other day the
children got a chance to blend the paper up and create the paper. It was a great experience for the children to be hands on and sustainable.
Some of the older girls did some face painting over the holidays for the children. They
came up with their own designs and systems so all the children could be part of the
activity. The girls loved having the responsibility, being the eldest.
Hide and seek, and Chasey was a big hit. Majority of the afternoon’s (when it wasn't
raining) the children ran around outside, playing fairly together and being respectful of
each other.
This term seems so to be going so quickly to so it wont be long until we have the next
Vac care program available.
Please remember if there is anything you would like to discuss come and see me or
Megan.
Thanks Kristen :)
