check for correct amount.

Important Information for you and your team during registraton
• Enter personal contact information
• Select recognition options (Survivor, Honoree, Memoriam)
• Team Captains - make sure to check if you want team items
packed together!
• Include your personal and team fundraising goals
• You have the option of contributing to your goal when you
register
• Komen tracks your progress towards prizes (raise $250 or
more to be eligible)
• Recruit team members (email, in person, Facebook, etc.)

• On the “Teams” page, you can find logos that can be
downloaded for your T-shirts www.komenmemphis.org
• Get creative
• Remember that only survivors wear pink. Team shirts
may contain pink images but cannot be a pink
background/shirt.
• There will be a team T-shirt design contest voted on race
day and the winner will be announced on Facebook
FUNDRAISING IS EASY
• Step 1 – Be the 1st to donate to your team
• Step 2 – Ask
• Step 3 – Make it easy to follow through
• Provide your supporters with a link to your fundraising page
• Have a donation form handy for anyone who would prefer to write a
check and mail it in
• Fundraising Continues into November!
• Online donations must be received by November 24, 2015
• Donations brought to the Affiliate Office must arrive no later than
November 24, 2015
• Komen will send emails with incentives to remind you what you can
win

WHERE DO THE FUNDS GO?
• 75% of all funds stay in the Memphis-Mid-South Area
• Specific information about the grant recipients is listed in
detail on our website
• 25% of the funds raised go to breast cancer research
• 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer
annually
• Everyone in some way knows someone who is affected
by the disease
PRIZES
• Each individual that raises $250 or more is eligible for a
prize. Check the website for updates to the list of prizes.

• Best Team T-Shirts: Design your own team shirt and on race day votes will decide the best
individual team shirt design
• Remember that ONLY Survivors wear pink

AutoZone Park.

• Decide in advance where your team will meet
• Give/Receive contact information before Race Day
• Expect to join 20,000 of your closest personal friends for a
GREAT cause!
• Watch the website for changes and updates, especially
about parking
• Don’t forget to send us a photo of your team (there will be
a photographer taking group photos on race day)!
REMINDERS
• On Race Day, wearing PINK is reserved for survivors!
• Arrive early to park and walk to the starting line.
• Manual registrations must be postmarked by Saturday
October 10, 2015 to ensure Team packing inclusion.
• Online registrations must be submitted by Midnight
October 15, 2015 to ensure Team packing inclusion.
