We were so fortunate and grateful for you gifting your courts and wonderful members for the day to help in our fundraising efforts. Your event helped to raise $3700. This will allow us to provide Hospice care to those on the North Shore, absolutely free of charge. This makes a huge difference, not only to a Hospice patient, but also to their partner, parent or child. It’s the support of Northcote Tennis, and other community groups like you, that makes it possible for us to continue caring for our community. A special mention goes to Christine, Ivar, Gavin, Huw and Grant (our impromptu auctioneer!) for helping in organising the day – as well as the individuals who were behind the scenes. Our volunteers enjoyed working alongside you all. You probably know that you should be aggressive at the net and poach whenever possible... but somehow you are not able to make it happen even though you have been taught how to position yourself.
