first two meetings, Game 2 on Apr. 19, 2014 in double overtime at Pittsburgh and Game 4 on Apr. 23, 2014 in
overtime in Columbus.
• The Jackets’ scored 11 seconds into the contest. It’s the fastest start to a playoff game in franchise history, surpassing
the goal by Boone Jenner 1:38 into Game 3 on Apr. 21, 2014 vs. Pittsburgh.
• The Blue Jackets (37) and Penguins (47) combined for 84 shots, the most in a home playoff game in franchise history,
surpassing the 73 shots recorded on Apr. 23, 2009 vs. Detroit (CBJ-32; DET-41).
• The Jackets fell in overtime after scoring four goals. The club was 39-7-1 when scoring at least three goals during the
regular season (not incl. SO goals).
• The Blue Jackets scored three goals in the first period. It was the third time in franchise playoff history the club

D Zach Werenski tallied his first career playoff goal/point in his third career game. He led Blue Jackets defensemen in
scoring with 11-36-47 in 78 contests.
RW Nick Foligno collected two assists for his the first multi-point game of his playoff career and has 4-6-10 in 24
