How can you enrich your child`s learning?

How can you enrich
your child’s learning?
There is much you can
do as a parent to assist
your children with their
learning:




What did
you do
today?
Hear your child read regularly – discuss
what they have read, and the meaning
of new words. Enjoy this time
together!
Practice times tables regularly
Encourage your child to complete
their power projects – Help them
research at home.
Tell us about achievements at home –
every step of your child’s development
is important!
Welcome back!
After all the enjoyment of the recent holidays, the
excitement continues with a new and interesting
topic for this half term.
The afternoons will see the class working hard to
understand the topic called ‘HUNTED,’ developing
their research skills promoting their own independent
learning.
This topic has a science focus and key learning will
include:
Recognise that living things can be grouped in
a variety of ways.
Explore and use classification keys to help
group, identify and name a variety of living things in
their local and wider environment.
Construct and interpret a variety of food
chains, identifying producers, predators and prey.
Recognise that environments can change and
that this can sometimes pose dangers to living things.
Use and make identification keys for plants
and animals.
We will be focusing on living things and their
habitats.
