Berkeley County Schools Department of Instruction SMART Goal 2013-2014 GOAL: Berkeley County Schools will provide a county-wide system of education that ensures that all students graduate from high school prepared for success in high-quality post-secondary opportunities in college and/or careers. A. There will be an 8% increase in the percentage of students at or above Mastery in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies for the 2013-2014 school year. 2. There will be a 12%increase in the percentage of Students with Disabilities at or above Mastery in Mathematics and English Language Arts for the 2013-1014 school year. 3. There will be a 10% increase in the percentage of Low Socio Economic Students at or above Mastery in Mathematics and English Language Arts for the 2013-2014 school year. Action Step A1. WV Next Generation Standards will be implemented in Pre-K-12 programs. Staff development will be ongoing that promotes the changes necessary in curriculum to effectively teach the new standards.
