THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCATION HOSTS A FREE KICK-OFF PARTY AND
RECEPTION THIS TUESDAY AT THE FRONT PORCH IN TALLAHASSEE TO
CELBRATE THE WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S ®
A free reception will be provided this Tuesday, September16th at The Front Porch in
Tallahassee to offer participants a look at Alzheimer’s and dementia events in the area and
how funds are raised for free education programs and critically-needed research
Tallahassee, FL – September 12, 2014 – The Walk to End Alzheimer’s® free reception kick-off party will be
hosted this Tuesday, September 16th. The Alzheimer’s Association is kicking off event season with a free
reception at The Front Porch in Tallahassee from 5:30 – 7:00 pm in the Wahoo Room -2nd Floor at 1215
Thomasville Road, in Tallahassee. There will be appetizers, drinks, door prizes and a short, inspirational
program!
“Our kick off parties are a way to get the community excited about our largest fundraising effort of the year –
the Walk to End Alzheimer’s®,” says local Alzheimer’s Association Program Director, Margaret Farris. “The
funds we raise go to important initiatives such as community educational programs, first responder training,
caregiver support groups, a 24/7 Helpline, critically-needed research funds, and so much more,” Farris adds.
